Chapter 52 Your Eyes Are Like Stars

Distorção Global: Eu Dominei o Mundo com uma Faca de Fruta O vento sopra fora do Templo Hanshan. 2453 words 2026-08-05 00:41:50

The little rascal seemed petrified, curled up against the wall in the hallway. Yu Yue crouched down, intending to pick it up, but upon seeing the purple-black blood staining the cat’s fur, he held back. “People who die can’t come back. Let’s find a safe zone first.”

“That monster will definitely come back soon. If we all die then... Li Luyan surely wouldn’t want to see that either.”

The little rascal curled tighter, tucking its tail between its legs. “You guys go ahead... I want to wait here for my master.”

If Lord Genesis wasn’t dead, it could still pledge allegiance to her. If she were dead and Lord Desire awakened, it could switch loyalty to him, finding a new master.

If it left with them now, Lord Desire would never let it go.

“How can we leave without a car?” Yu Yue suppressed the urge to strangle the little rascal and finally glanced at Lin Youwei. “Let’s go now, or that monster will come out and we’re done for.”

Lin Youwei clenched her fists tightly and sighed. Their supernatural powers were useless within ‘its’ domain. Li Luyan surely wouldn’t survive. If they didn’t leave now, once ‘it’ dealt with Li Luyan, there’d be no escape.

“All right.”

Liu Qingye’s eyes were bloodshot. He raised his hand, and countless willow vines swiftly sealed off the stairwell. His voice was icy cold, like a December wind.

“Sister saved you all... it wouldn’t be right to just leave like this.”

Yu Yue clenched his fist, veins bulging. “What do you want? To stay here and die?”

“Li Luyan risked his life to get us out, not for us to wait for death.”

“Let’s combine our powers and kill that thing.” His tone was furious, as if he was about to tear the monster apart and avenge Li Luyan.

“Are you crazy? We can’t even use our powers in this hallway.” She widened her eyes, then glanced at Zhao Meina. “And there’s also a normal person here.”

Lin Youwei took a deep breath. “She’s right. Let’s come back to avenge Luyan when we’re stronger. We can’t just wait here to die.”

“Luyan wouldn’t want to see this either…”

Liu Qingye clenched his fists but finally withdrew his hand in defeat. The willow vines blocking the hallway vanished instantly. “Forget it... you go.”

Watching the three walk away, he took a deep breath.

“Sister... I’ll definitely help you get your revenge.”

...

“Miss, please eat quickly. This is my specialty.” Li Luyan stared at the dishes on the table, hesitating. There was a variety of meat dishes, not a single vegetable.

The braised pork with preserved vegetables looked glossy and fragrant, as if tempting her nose. There was also a pot of well-steeped soup, clear and appetizing.

But this was the domain of ghosts and monsters; logically, she shouldn’t eat.

Li Luyan smiled perfectly, showing eight teeth. “Sorry, grandma, I’m Hui.”

The old lady was puzzled.

Unable to select anything, she picked out a piece of meat from the soup and put it in Li Luyan’s bowl. “This is lamb.”

Li Luyan eyed the oily piece of meat; the texture was definitely not lamb.

“Hurry and eat, it won’t taste good once it cools,” the old lady smiled even wider, wrinkles around her eyes folding like a tightening net.

And Li Luyan was the prey caught in that net.

Since she couldn’t break the trap, she’d overturn the whole game—no one was going to eat!

Suddenly, Li Luyan stood up.

The old lady stared at her intently. Li Luyan gave an awkward laugh. “I’m changing seats.”

As she rose, her right hand “accidentally” grabbed the corner of the tablecloth.

“Oh no!” Li Luyan cried out, tumbling onto the table.

The braised pork spilled onto the old lady’s blue plaid sofa, grease spreading into a stain.

The clear soup splashed onto the floor, chunks of meat rolling out.

The once-clear broth turned into a foul, viscous substance, exuding a putrid stench. The meat chunks transformed into eyes.

Human eyes.

The temperature in the room plummeted.

“Bad child,” the old lady’s voice shifted, layered with countless overlapping tones. “How dare you waste food!!!”

“Just like that stupid girl!”

Li Luyan quickly backed up, her back against the wall.

The old lady’s skin began peeling away, revealing writhing tongues beneath—disgusting, maggot-like tongues.

The chandelier flickered suddenly, and in the flashing light, the old lady’s form lengthened and twisted grotesquely.

“You know ‘it’?” Li Luyan forced down her nausea and asked, quietly retrieving a fruit knife from her spatial pocket.

Though her supernatural powers were suppressed in this memory space, her physical strength remained, and the space could still be used.

“Hahaha... she’s the first bad child...” the old lady suddenly laughed, her face contorting further. “You’re... the last one, aren’t you...”

After speaking, the tongues shot from her mouth, coiling around Li Luyan’s wrist and waist.

“Wait!” Li Luyan’s mind raced for a way to distract her. She already knew what to do...

The old lady paused. Though the disgusting tongues still wrapped around Li Luyan, they no longer tightened. She stared fixedly at Li Luyan.

Li Luyan stared seriously back. “I know I’m going to die, but can I die with some understanding?”

The old lady tilted her head, staring as if to say, “What do you want to know?” Her tongues stayed extended, unable to speak.

“I want to see your ‘kitchen.’ At least let me look once before I die.”

The lock clicked open like a death sentence.

The kitchen scene made Li Luyan sick. She forced down the acid rising in her throat.

On the counter were dozens of glass jars, each containing human organs.

In the center was the head of a young girl, long hair floating in formalin, eyes hollow and unseeing—her eyeballs missing.

That was ‘its’ human form. No wonder she had no eyes—someone had taken them out.

The old lady seemed unconcerned about escape, proudly lifting a tube. “Ho... haha... this is my favorite work... especially those eyes...”

“Like stars, so beautiful... I can’t help but dig them out.”

Suppressing her disgust, Li Luyan stalled, seeking a chance to get closer. “Could you show me her eyes? I like beautiful eyes too.”

The old lady suddenly lifted her head, staring straight into Li Luyan’s eyes with a chilling tone that gave her goosebumps.

“Your eyes are beautiful too... I’ll make sure to dig them out perfectly for you...” Her tone shifted like a split personality, then she smiled proudly. “Of course.”
