Psychic Tools are exceedingly rare items in the Hunter world. Only two methods can bring about the creation of a Psychic Tool. The first involves a powerful Nen user continuously immersing an object in their aura over many years, combined with a fortunate coincidence, eventually resulting in a unique item that resonates with the user’s desires.
Heather’s “Superman Invisibility Glasses” came into being this way. Originally a birthday gift from his mother on his twelfth birthday, intended to help him conceal his unusually striking appearance with black-framed glasses, these glasses were saturated for years by Heather’s ever-present thoughts and aura as a natural-born Nen user. Coupled with the mysterious chance of crossing worlds, the glasses finally transformed into the Psychic Tool known as the “Superman Invisibility Glasses.”
The second method involves strong Nen users of the Specialization and Manifestation categories. They manifest a powerful aura object using their life’s Nen, then, on their deathbed, transfer all their remaining aura into it. After death, the aura further strengthens the object, causing it to materialize truly and become an extraordinary artifact.
The original manga featured such a remarkable Psychic Tool in the Dark Continent arc: the “Egg in the Pot Ritual,” passed down through generations of the Kakin Empire’s royal family.
The item is a pot of deep gray color, oddly shaped with an unknown material. Its surface bears an abstract human face—closed eyes and a wide-open mouth.
Since ancient times, the Kakin royal family has believed that dripping fresh blood into the pot’s mouth and silently wishing to inherit the throne grants a special power.
In truth, this Psychic Tool, called the “Egg in the Pot,” was created by the first Kakin king, inspired by poisonous magic and manifested through Nen. Anyone with royal blood who drips their blood into the pot’s mouth summons a Nen beast resembling a small fairy. This spirit beast places a gem formed from the blood into the donor’s mouth, creating a unique Guardian Spirit Beast.
This Guardian Spirit Beast is strangely powerful, feeding on its host’s Nen while allowing the host to cultivate other Nen abilities simultaneously—like an external cheat code, extremely useful.
The only drawback is that the Guardian Spirit Beast does not obey the host’s will perfectly, as it was not created by the host themselves.
Judging by this, some legendary divine weapons recorded in the book may well have been real Psychic Tools existing throughout history, only lost or destroyed for various reasons.

With the help of forest dwarves, Prince Kando journeyed across the distant Abyss to the “Black Kingdom,” the tomb of the deity “Fire Guardian King Gugang.” He braved countless traps and finally found the sword in a pure-gold coffin deep within the tomb, earning the deity’s recognition.
Enchanted weapons and armor shattered upon being struck by this sword; the resilient shields sustained by powerful demons’ aura crumbled like dry grass in fire; the skeletal armies summoned by necromancers melted instantly before its blade like spring snow under the fierce sun.
It is the archenemy of all extraordinary beings! The Sword of Fire! The proof of kingship!
Finally, as the poem describes, when Prince Kando’s life was ending, he abandoned the throne and his family, donned only simple cloth, grasped “Absolute Sovereignty,” and strode headlong into a blizzard—never to be seen again.
“‘Absolute Sovereignty,’ the bane of the extraordinary... this is perfect!”
Heather pushed up his glasses, showing an intrigued expression. If it were this sword, using it to sever Nen might not be impossible... but the “Conditions” and “Restrictions” must be stringent; otherwise, the myth of the ‘bane of the extraordinary’ could never be replicated.
The Nen ability concept in his mind was still only a fledgling—no, not even a fledgling, at best an empty, newly created folder.
Time to act!
Heather sprang from the sofa and went to a nearby internet café near the Sky Arena, rapidly typing in “Prince Kando” and “Absolute Sovereignty.” The web immediately flooded with information.
