Mental Storage: [...]
“Bitch! Damn it!”
In the master bedroom of the Cloud Villa, Lin Ye suddenly sprang up from the silk sheets, his pupils swirling with lingering blood-red hues.
His hands clenched the bedsheets tightly, knuckles white, chest heaving violently, as if he had just been pulled from drowning.
Three seconds ago, he was clearly still in the foul-smelling corridor of that rented apartment.
He had witnessed with his own eyes the decayed fingers of a zombie tearing open his abdomen, Wang Qian’s piercing laughter ringing in his ears, and that burly man named Liu holding his girlfriend—
No! Ex-girlfriend!
Right in front of him, fondling the body he had never even dared to touch.
“Why?”
In his memory, he was like a beaten dog, pounding on iron gates.
Liu’s mocking voice mixed with the zombies’ growls: “Because I can protect her! Look at your skinny frame—no better than a waste! What do you have to be with her?”
“But... I have to thank you. If you hadn’t gone out, I wouldn’t have had such a chance at a fling, haha…”
Saying that, the nearly six-foot-tall burly Liu Qiang reached out and firmly squeezed Wang Qian’s buttocks.
“Eek~”
“Liu, stop it~”
“There are people watching here~”
Wang Qian blushed and buried her face in Liu Qiang’s chest, gently patting him.
It hurt! It hurt so badly!
Not from the bite wounds, but from the ant-like gnawing pain of betrayal.
His heart now filled with endless hatred.
Hatred for his own incompetence, hatred for trusting others too much.
Hatred for his pathetic infatuation!
He had given everything to please a woman who never belonged to him.
In a world crawling with zombies, he still went out to find food and supplies, afraid she would go hungry or freeze.
But what did he get in return?
Heartless betrayal!
“Bastards!” Lin Ye couldn’t help but shout, slamming his right fist hard against the headboard.
The redwood bedside table with gold trim groaned under the force.
“Ah~ Young Master Lin, you hurt me…”
A sultry cry snapped him back to reality.
Turning his head, a pale arm slipped out from under the white quilt, followed by rose-gold hair, and then a delicately made-up face, tears glistening at the corners of her eyes, and ambiguous red marks staining her collarbone.
All these signs declared that last night had been a wild, passionate battle.
Yet Lin Ye’s mind froze instantly.
This naked woman curled up under the covers was Lin Xueqing, a first-tier celebrity he had seen on posters in his previous life.
That poster had been used as “casting material” by countless survivors, but now the real person was looking at him pitifully.
“You… took me seven times last night…” Lin Xueqing bit her lip, the quilt slipping to reveal bruises on her shoulder. “It still hurts down there~ I really can’t take it…”
