"Attention! Mars, the God of Destruction, is about to descend upon the Lost Ruins!"
The divine oracle echoed through every corner of the Lost Ruins. Cynthia furrowed her brows. Why would Mars, one of the three Great Main Gods, come to the Lost Ruins?
The audience in the live broadcast room shared Cynthia’s confusion.
"I’ve heard the God of Destruction has a terrible temper. It’s over; this trial ground is doomed."
"Waaah, baby, run! Let’s just forget about the Eternal Grail."
"Quick, send gifts! Let’s pool some points for her to buy a life amulet that can block a fatal blow."
"The baby doesn’t seem to know anything... sending gifts is useless..."
"Where is Azathoth! How has he been teaching our baby? How could he not warn her about something so important!"
The live chat was in chaos. Meanwhile, Cynthia found a hidden corner and stared fixedly at the rift in the sky.
The rift in the firmament was being torn apart by invisible giant hands, widening further. A massive throne, cast from jet-black metal and unidentified bones, slowly descended from the rift.
Seated upon the throne was a figure wearing dark armor covered in dark-gold patterns. His face was obscured, but one could vaguely discern a well-defined jawline and a pair of eyes glowing with a scarlet light.
Mars, the God of Destruction, had arrived.
He did not intentionally release his pressure, yet the contenders within the ruins found themselves gasping for air under the powerful aura radiating from him.
Cynthia covered her mouth tightly, hiding herself deeper within the shadows of the crumbling walls. She absolutely could not confront Mars right now.
The scrolling text in the live chat paused for an instant, as if all the viewers were stunned by the sheer power they could feel even through the screen.
"It’s over, it’s over, it’s over... he’s really here. The visual pressure is too intense!"
"The way the baby is covering her mouth is so pitiful. Stay hidden and don't make a sound!"
"He looks... like he isn't immediately destroying everything?"
"Not acting is even scarier! It’s the calm before the storm!"
"What about the Eternal Grail? Could he be here for that?"
Mars’s scarlet pupils slowly scanned the shattered earth below, his gaze indifferent, as if inspecting an anthill.
Finally, his eyes lingered for a brief moment in one direction—the direction of the ruins' core area, where the Eternal Grail had appeared.
"Ants! If you want the Eternal Grail, come and challenge me!"
As his low, magnetic voice faded, a wave of even more terrifying destruction rippled outward with him at the center.
"Attention! The God of Destruction, Mars, has issued a challenge mission. Whoever gains his recognition may take the Eternal Grail."
Once the divine oracle announcement rang out, the contenders in the Lost Ruins fell silent.

Challenging the God of Destruction, the strongest combatant among the gods, was a mission only a madman would attempt.
In fact, some madmen had already taken action.
"Everyone, charge together! We have the numbers advantage. This challenge mission sounds difficult, but it's actually easy to complete. As long as anyone's attack touches Mars, the mission will be judged a success."
A hurried male voice reached the ears of every contender. Just as Cynthia wondered about the source of the voice, another male voice followed.
"I am Lin Yan, a Star-Glory tier contender. I have completed similar missions before. He is right."
Lin Yan, the speaker, was currently standing atop the spire of the Lost Ruins, his eyes fixed on Mars upon the throne.
"Yan, do we really have to have this Eternal Grail? Let's not end up dead before we even get it," his teammate complained.
Lin Yan looked at the person who spoke—a black-haired male elf with pointed ears. As the massive elven wings on his back flapped, tiny specks of crystal dust fell, a breathtaking sight.
"We must have it. Don't worry, we won't die. The Goddess of Life will protect us."
Lin Yan’s amber eyes brimmed with deep reverence for the Goddess of Life.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go." The red-haired youth standing on the other side of Lin Yan hoisted a massive axe and charged toward Mars's throne like a shooting star.
"The Dragon race really has no brains," the black-haired elf remarked. A bow appeared in his hand; he pulled the string, and an arrow flew toward Mars.
With the first birds taking flight, the other contenders who had been watching also drew their weapons and launched attacks at Mars.
Mars sat upon his throne, facing the tidal wave of attacks, his scarlet eyes not even rippling with a hint of emotion.
"Ridiculous." His low voice cut clearly through the roar of explosions, reaching every contender and every viewer in the live chat with a touch of undisguised mockery.
"Is that all?"
He slowly raised a hand covered in dark-gold armor and pressed it lightly downward toward the area where the attacks were most concentrated.
There was no earth-shattering boom. The contenders in that area, along with the ruins beneath their feet, were instantly crushed by an irresistible force. After a series of shrill screams, a deathly silence enveloped the entire battlefield.
The live chat froze for an instant before being flooded with endless terror.
"........."
"........."
"What kind of power is this?! Just a wave of his hand?"
"Wiped out? You’ve got to be kidding!"
"Run! Run for your lives! This isn't a challenge; it's a massacre!"
"Baby! Don't you dare come out! Stay hidden!"
Cynthia huddled in a corner, desperately trying to reduce her presence. On the other side, Azathoth was anxiously searching for her.

"My King, please, you must be safe."
Azathoth switched to his combat form, kicked aside a wall blocking his path, and moved rapidly through the Lost Ruins.
"Hmm?"
Mars, on the throne, seemed to have discovered something. He sat up straight and scanned the area again. His indifferent gaze swept across the ruins, as if searching for something.
"Look what I’ve found—a member of the Abyss race." A flicker of surprise crossed Mars’s eyes.
The throne began to move. Mars’s words reached every contender clearly. Cynthia darted out from her hiding place.
"That idiot, Azathoth!"
Cynthia cursed angrily and moved her short legs, searching for any sign of Azathoth.

Cynthia felt her legs become light, and her movement speed increased significantly. With a thought, she moved through the Lost Ruins with the agility of a nimble kitten.
"Limited edition parkour kitty! What are you waiting for? Take screenshots!"
"Is she going to find her poop-scooper? A two-way dash! My cat would never do this!"
"Hey, you're in the wrong broadcast room!"
"This is so dangerous! She doesn't know how to read the room."
"Are you new here? Do you understand the bond between Azathoth and the baby? I suggest you watch her previous trial."
"What's so great about a brat? Lin Yan, the Star-Glory tier contender next door, is the real deal."
With that comment, the live chat erupted into an argument, and a sea of "get out" messages began to scroll by.
Meanwhile, Mars's throne blocked Azathoth's path, and a terrifying, world-destroying power surged toward him.
Azathoth fought with all his might, barely managing to block the incoming attack.
"As expected of the Abyss race. Come, let us fight!"
Mars was extremely excited. He gripped the air with his five fingers, and a pitch-black blade appeared in his hand.
Azathoth wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and drew his own weapon. Just as he was preparing to engage the enemy, a small figure blocked his path, and a crisp, childish voice rang out:
"Bad guy! I won't let you hit him!"
