There is a limit to how much the human mind can absorb when it comes to new realities. Sometimes, even if a new truth is undeniable, it remains difficult to accept if it deviates too drastically from established knowledge. This requires time and careful preparation.

The appearance of the meteorite monsters had already delivered a significant shock, and with the prior groundwork laid, the emergence of Shen Yu from the interstellar era became somewhat more credible. Furthermore, a more detailed press conference was quickly convened, releasing even more explosive news.

"The Multi-Dimensional Doomsday Civilization Mutual Aid Association is not simply based in outer space, but in universes of different dimensions."

"We have obtained Mr. Hanyu’s consent to disclose his existence."

"Mr. Hanyu comes from a world that is also suffering from a doomsday crisis."

"..."

"This is the content of the covenant, and this covenant is witnessed by the Multi-Dimensional Doomsday Civilization Mutual Aid Association!"

"..."

"Here, we want to tell the people of the world that the apocalypse is indeed real. This is our misfortune, but fortunately, hope arrives alongside the apocalypse. The existence of the Multi-Dimensional Doomsday Civilization Mutual Aid Association tells us very clearly that as long as we are united and assist one another, the apocalypse is not invincible!"

"Once we overcome the apocalypse, we may even possess a life better than what we had before!"

"..."

Shen Yu watched the entire press conference. Not everything was disclosed. For instance, the intricate rules of the Multi-Dimensional Doomsday Mutual Aid Association and the specifics of his own identity were not made public to the general population. The former was simply too complex to explain, and the Eastern Kingdom did not yet know enough about it. The latter was kept under wraps with Shen Yu’s approval. His existence would be acknowledged at the government level, but not to the public—partly to ensure the safety of those around him, and partly because there was no immediate need for such transparency. It was enough for people to know the Association existed, to have confidence in their ability to fight the apocalypse, and to maintain social order.

Even so, this day was destined to be recorded in history. Just like the people of the Martial Arts World, people across the globe had suddenly come into contact with a much vaster reality. The multiverse exists, and within it, there are planets, humans, and other civilizations facing their own doomsdays.

In just one day, the world had changed entirely. No one knew what the future would hold, but now, there were more—perhaps even infinite—possibilities. And without a doubt, Shen Yu would be deeply involved in the transformation of the world and its civilization, perhaps even shaping the future with his own hands.

Just thinking about it made Shen Yu’s heart race. "Setting aside the Gray Fog, the epic sense of achievement that comes from saving the world, guiding a civilization, and creating the future far outweighs starting a business or getting rich," Shen Yu mused, suppressing his excitement. "No wonder so many people throughout history have yearned to accomplish great deeds that could change the world."

"Boss, you have already changed the world," Ji Mingshu said softly from the side, her heart also filled with anticipation for the future.

"This is only the first step," Shen Yu nodded slightly, though he did not belittle his efforts.

At that moment, the personal terminal in Ji Mingshu’s hand signaled a message. She glanced at it and immediately reported, "Boss, the Meteorite Crisis Management Department reports that envoys from the world's major powers are rushing here as fast as they can. They want to meet with you, especially the ambassadors from the Western Union and the Northern Alliance."

"They’re efficient. It seems their situations are indeed grim," Shen Yu raised an eyebrow. Both regions were dealing with their own separate meteorite crises, and as powerful nations, they would not be this desperate if the situation were not dire. Frankly, Shen Yu’s knowledge of the crises in those two regions was quite limited. This was the disadvantage of not having a global alliance—the lack of thorough intelligence sharing.

"Whether I meet them or not is irrelevant, but I want detailed intelligence on those two types of monsters, as soon as possible," Shen Yu stated directly.

After Shen Yu provided such staggering benefits and value, the importance placed upon him became unparalleled. Even if the world sometimes felt like a disorganized mess, there were always those who understood what was at stake. Consequently, once his request was issued, the relevant data was sent over immediately. Some of the most classified materials had previously been stored offline, and even with the interstellar-era personal terminal at his disposal, Shen Yu had had little success accessing them.

Now, he turned his attention first to the worms of the Northern Alliance.

These were grayish-white segmented creatures. Initially, their numbers were small; when they first appeared in a small town, only seventeen were discovered, the largest being no more than a hundred meters long. However, these worms were constantly devouring everything, growing rapidly. It wasn't just humans; they consumed everything, including soil, concrete, and even metallic materials. Gunfire could pierce through their bodies, but it was useless. Their flesh acted like slime, and any holes closed instantly.

As a result, caught off guard, the town was completely destroyed, and no one survived. It was clear that consuming humans significantly accelerated their growth. By the time the military arrived, the largest worm had grown to a length of one mile and a diameter of four meters—a true behemoth.

The Northern Alliance then resorted to unconventional weapons. More than half of the worms were carbonized and killed by the intense heat, including the largest one, but the remaining half burrowed deep into the ground to escape. Currently, they could only monitor and predict their movements based on seismic activity; the longest one was estimated to have reached a length of over five kilometers!

"If the proportions hold, that would be forty meters thick?" Shen Yu looked at the intelligence, truly shocked. Godzilla could be tied up by one of these!

Even more alarming was their rate of growth. If they continued to devour at this rate, growing without limit, what would they become? Would the entire planet be consumed?

"Things have deteriorated to this point, and yet they didn't look worried at all before," Shen Yu suppressed his emotions and continued reading. Although they were helpless against the giant lurking underground, they had made some research progress. During previous battles, many tissue fragments were recovered, including the remains of the dead worms. Some of these fragments still retained incredible vitality. Researchers discovered that their cells possessed an incredible property: they could digest almost any element, converting it into the energy and matter required for flesh growth. This discovery completely overturned existing scientific understanding!

One must realize that herbivores can grow meat by eating plants because plants contain protein and other organic components. But soil is composed primarily of inorganic matter, to say nothing of metal!
