Today marked Wu Chenchen’s return to work. Upon arrival, she immediately learned from Liu Song that their fourth team had been assigned a newcomer.

This newcomer was exceedingly arrogant, constantly targeting Liu Song and even attempting to usurp her tasks.

How could she tolerate that?

“Hey, I’m talking to you. You have a genetic defect, not deafness—why pretend you can’t hear?”

Jiang Suisui glanced around briefly. “Who’s barking like a dog?”

“You actually dared to call me a dog!” Wu Chenchen spat her bubblegum onto the floor. “You, go clean up. Personally. No robots allowed.”

Jiang Suisui looked at the sticky wad of gum with a light chuckle, then pointed to the ceiling. “There’s surveillance here. According to Employee Handbook Article 16: maliciously damaging the cafeteria’s hygiene results in a fine of 500 star coins.”

With that, she turned on her heel and headed toward the disinfection room.

Wu Chenchen was both furious and anxious. “I’m your senior! Deputy Leader of Team Four! How dare you disobey me?”

Jiang Suisui paused at the door, turned back to Wu Chenchen, her almond-shaped eyes lifting with a teasing glint. “Listening to you—does that get me promoted or raise my salary? If not, then what’s the difference between your words and flatulence? Would you chase after a fart?”

Before Wu Chenchen could respond, Jiang Suisui shut the door and activated the full-body disinfection process.

Once the disinfection room begins sterilization, a password must be entered from inside to open it again.

Wu Chenchen could only glare helplessly through the transparent window on the door.

She caught sight of Liu Song walking by and hurried over to complain, “Master Liu, Jiang Suisui is truly detestable! She just called me a dog and said everything I say is bullshit! I’m furious!”

Liu Song had overheard their earlier argument from around the corner.

He had thought Wu Chenchen was sharp-tongued and, being the niece of the Deputy Director of Morning Star Kindergarten, might at least give Jiang Suisui a hard time.

But in the end, it was Wu Chenchen who lost.

Liu Song had long looked down on Wu Chenchen, whom he saw as a useless nepotism hire, and now his disdain deepened.

Yet he kept it to himself, letting out a heavy sigh. “Little Wu, now you know, right? I didn’t lie to you.”

“This Jiang Suisui, riding on the Director’s favor, doesn’t even regard me as worth noticing—let alone a second cook like you. Just bear with it; it’ll pass.”

Wu Chenchen’s anger flared anew. “What’s so great about the Director’s favor? My uncle is the Deputy Director! Master Liu, just watch—I’ll make her pay!”

Then she stormed off.

Liu Song watched her retreating figure, guessing she was going to file a complaint, and smiled faintly.

Young girls just in their early twenties are so easy to fool.

Near noon, Jiang Suisui was ready to resume work but was blocked by Wu Chenchen.

“This isn’t your job. Go peel all those potatoes and cut them into julienne strips. Don’t cut them too thick or too thin, or they won’t work.”

Earlier, Liu Song had deliberately assigned Jiang Suisui tasks usually done by Wu Chenchen.

Now that Wu Chenchen was back, Jiang Suisui naturally couldn’t continue with her old duties.

Liu Song suppressed a smile and said, “Little Wu, don’t be like this. If Jiang Suisui botches all the potatoes, I won’t be able to explain it to the higher-ups.”

“That’s her problem, not yours, Master Liu,” Wu Chenchen said matter-of-factly. “If you work in the kitchen but can’t even slice vegetables properly, what right do you have to become permanent staff?”

Faced with Wu Chenchen’s deliberate provocation, Jiang Suisui thought for a moment and agreed, “Fine, I’ll do it.”

“You don’t want to? That won’t do… What did you say?” Wu Chenchen was utterly taken aback. “You said you’ll do it?”

Jiang Suisui nodded with a hum of affirmation. “Yes, I’ll do it.”

She fiddled briefly with the machine, then poured a large basin of potatoes in. The machine quickly washed, peeled, and fed them into another device that sliced them into thin strips.

Jiang Suisui’s eyes curved into a smile. “Done, all set.”

Wu Chenchen was stunned. “I didn’t tell you to use the machine!”

Jiang Suisui shrugged. “You didn’t say no either.”

“I’m saying it now! Go make another batch! Peel and slice by hand, personally!” Wu Chenchen’s voice sharpened with anger.

Jiang Suisui glanced at her, casually grabbed a cucumber from the produce basket, rinsed it, and tossed it onto the cutting board.

Then she drew her knife and sliced the cucumber swiftly.

The entire process took less than ten seconds.

She set down the knife, lifting the slices—paper-thin, continuous, flawless.

Not only was Wu Chenchen dumbfounded, but Liu Song, who had come to watch the spectacle, was equally amazed.

Jiang Suisui placed the cucumber back on the board. “When you two can do this well, then you have the right to lecture me.”

With that, she walked away.

Only Wu Chenchen and Liu Song remained frozen.

After a long moment, Wu Chenchen incredulously picked up the cucumber slices. “How… how is this possible? Did she use some invisible machine knife?”

After all, Wu Chenchen was no cook—just a nepotism hire who muddled through.

When it came to cooking, all she knew was how to use a food processor.

So, to her, a chef like Liu Song who could cook independently was already impressive.

But she never imagined—

Nor did Liu Song—that Jiang Suisui possessed such exquisite knife skills.

His sense of urgency deepened. “Don’t worry, Little Wu, just because she can slice cucumbers doesn’t mean she can cook. Even if she can cook, that doesn’t guarantee good taste. I’m a professional—trust me.”

Wu Chenchen merely murmured an “uh-huh” and kept staring at the cucumber slices.

She wondered if Master Liu’s professional skills could really surpass Jiang Suisui’s.

“Achoo!”

Jiang Suisui sneezed, thankfully already out of the kitchen, resting in the corridor.

Since she had no work for now, she might as well take it easy.

Sitting on a chair, she chose to open the student list displayed by the system in her mind, noticing the name Jiang Yueyi now marked as [New].

Clicking to view, she discovered Jiang Yueyi’s profile had been updated.

Student Jiang Yueyi: newly added interests—boxing and sanda; new dream—become a warrior capable of protecting her older sister and brother.

Hmm?

Jiang Suisui was somewhat surprised; she hadn’t expected Jiang Yueyi to develop hobbies and dreams so quickly.

Considering Jiang Yueyi’s innate strength, becoming a warrior seemed quite fitting.

With that, Jiang Suisui decisively selected [Create Plan].

The system quickly provided three development plans based on Jiang Yueyi’s situation.

The first aimed fully at cultivating a super warrior, focusing on endurance and combat power, with the personality gradually shifting toward cold-hearted toughness.

The second was a dual cultivation of literature and martial arts—simultaneously improving literary skills and combat power, but based on Jiang Yueyi’s own preferences. If she leaned more toward literature, her future goal would be a military district clerk; if more toward martial arts, a military district warrior.

The third plan allowed Jiang Yueyi to develop along a normal path, treating martial arts as a hobby.

After carefully reviewing the three, Jiang Suisui decisively chose the second plan.

A balanced cultivation of mind and body was most appropriate.
