“Xingxing, Yueyue, your sister is here to see you.”
Hearing their teacher’s words, Jiang Xingran and Jiang Yueyi, who were obediently eating in the classroom, turned their heads in unison toward the door.
Sure enough, Jiang Suisui was waving at them.
After receiving the teacher’s permission, the two put down their chopsticks and walked out of the classroom together.
“Sister!”
“Sister~”
Jiang Suisui smiled warmly and took out a white lunchbox.
She had just bought it from the kindergarten’s supermarket, and it was said to have excellent insulation. When she lifted the lid, steam rose rapidly, filling the air with a sweet aroma.
She whispered, “Sister made you pumpkin pancakes. You have to finish your meals before you can eat them, okay?”
Looking at the full box of pumpkin pancakes, Jiang Xingran and Jiang Yueyi swallowed eagerly.
Actually, the meals provided at kindergarten were pretty good, but after tasting Jiang Suisui’s cooking these past days, they preferred hers.
Jiang Xingran took the lunchbox, which was covered again, and said, “Thank you, sister! Sister, we were very good today; the teacher even praised us!”
Jiang Yueyi blinked her eyes and smiled sweetly, “Sister is the best~ We behaved well so you can rest easy~”
It was already half past twelve; soon the children would take their afternoon nap.
Not wanting to waste time, Jiang Suisui pinched the cheeks of the two little ones.
Alas, they were still too thin, with hardly any flesh—no good for the feeling. She’d have to feed them more later.
“All right, then listen to the teacher. Eat well, sleep well, behave well in class. Sister has to get back to work now.”
Jiang Xingran and Jiang Yueyi said goodbye to their sister and waved their tiny hands.
Only after Jiang Suisui’s figure had completely disappeared did the two return to the classroom with the lunchbox.
They were assigned to the Watermelon Class. Since the head teacher knew they were siblings, their seats were arranged next to each other for convenience.
Once seated, Jiang Xingran placed the lunchbox on the desk and lifted the lid.
The rich sweet aroma spread once again. The shiny pumpkin pancakes looked like little golden flowers. Just by looking, one could tell they were both beautiful and delicious.
The child sitting next to Jiang Xingran saw this and instantly swallowed, “Xingxing, what is that?”
“These are pumpkin pancakes my sister made,” Jiang Xingran said, pulling out some disinfectant wipes to clean their hands, then handing one piece to Jiang Yueyi before taking one for himself.
The steaming pumpkin pancakes were soft and fluffy inside, with a crispy, slightly charred exterior sprinkled with fragrant white sesame seeds. The filling was tender and glutinous, the sweetness blooming on the tongue even sweeter than candy.
Though glistening with oil, they were not greasy at all. The mind was filled only with the sweet fragrance of pumpkin, the aroma of sesame, and an irresistible scent of fried oil.

Jiang Yueyi chewed happily, showing a satisfied smile. “So soft and chewy, really delicious!”
Jiang Xingran nodded. “As expected from sister, it’s super tasty.”
The two ate one after another, and the other children’s eyes grew increasingly eager, their craving intensifying.
Finally.
The child closest to Jiang Xingran burst into tears, “Waaah, I want pumpkin pancakes too!”
Encouraged by him, the others began crying loudly as well, sobbing and demanding pumpkin pancakes.
This caused Teacher Yu, the head teacher, considerable distress. “Everyone, please be good, don’t cry. The food in your bowls is also very tasty. Besides, the robot will bring desserts later, you all…”
Before she could finish, one child whimpered, “I want pumpkin pancakes! I want pumpkin pancakes!”
The others quickly chimed in, refusing to eat anything else but pumpkin pancakes.
Just as Teacher Yu was troubled, Jiang Xingran raised his small hand. “Teacher Yu, there are so many pumpkin pancakes. Yueyue and I can’t finish them all; it would be wasteful. Let’s share them with everyone.”
If the food came from other parents, Teacher Yu would never dare distribute it to the whole class.
But since Jiang Suisui worked in the cafeteria, all her food was sampled and tested, with samples kept for three days in case of emergencies.
Therefore, Teacher Yu felt reassured taking the lunchbox from Jiang Xingran. “Good, Xingxing and Yueyue are such sensible children. Teacher thanks you for your generosity~”
Then Teacher Yu divided the pumpkin pancakes among all the children in the class.
After distributing, one piece remained.
Jiang Xingran and Jiang Yueyi had just received their shares, so they let Teacher Yu have the last piece to taste together.
Teacher Yu smiled, thinking pumpkin pancakes couldn’t be that special and that eating too many would be cloying.
But the last piece was indeed difficult to split fairly, so she took it for herself.
She expected it to be greasy but was surprised when the first bite was filled with the sweetness of pumpkin. The texture was very fluffy, the crust crispy, and the filling sticky. The sweetness was just right, not oily at all, and the roasted sesame seeds added an increasingly fragrant flavor with each chew.
Teacher Yu’s eyes lit up.
She thought, “Work will be something to look forward to from now on!”
Meanwhile,
Jiang Suisui returned to the cafeteria, slowly eating her staff meal while exploring the new features unlocked in the system.
Previously blank, the student list now included the names Jiang Xingran and Jiang Yueyi.
Next to each name were four options: [View Profile], [Create Plan], [Recent Status], and [Stage Scores].
Jiang Suisui first selected [View Profile] next to Jiang Yueyi’s name.

Within seconds, several pieces of information appeared in her mind.
[Student Jiang Yueyi, born April 18, Star Era 323, five years old, female, currently enrolled in Morning Star Kindergarten, Watermelon Class.]
[Parents deceased, sister Jiang Suisui, brother Jiang Xingran, residence: Building 3, Unit 402, Red Mansion Community, Changfeng Street, Qingshan District, Vermilion Bird City.]
[Interests: Undiscovered. Preferences: Likes red color, enjoys sweet and sour ribs; others undiscovered. Dreams: Undiscovered. Dislikes and fears: Afraid of being abandoned by sister.]
[Teacher’s favorability: 90 (out of 100). Impression of teacher: Likes.]
Reading through the details, Jiang Suisui was surprised at the level of detail.
After finishing, she chose [Create Plan].
[To help the host understand this feature quickly, this system provides a brief explanation. Each student recruited by the host can have a customized development plan created by the host, who acts as their teacher.]
[Considering the host’s limited experience and to ensure the student’s talents are not wasted, the system analyzes various data about the student and offers several reasonable plans designed to maximize their potential for the host to select.]
[Once the host selects a plan, they must guide the student in completing the various tasks within it. For each completed task, both host and student receive rewards. Reminder: the higher the completion rate, the richer the rewards.]
Having fully understood, Jiang Suisui did not rush to create a plan for Jiang Yueyi.
After all, Yueyi had no current interests or dreams; any plan made now might not suit her best.
So she continued exploring the remaining two features.
One displayed the student’s status over the past three days, such as mood swings and inner thoughts. Only strong emotional fluctuations were recorded; minor ones or thoughts deemed unimportant by the system were not noted.
This was mainly to help her monitor the student’s mental health rather than to invade privacy.
The other related to the plan’s stages. Each plan consisted of multiple stages, progressing steadily to avoid pushing too hard too fast. Upon reaching each stage, the system scored performance; higher scores meant more rewards for both host and student.
In short, these features were designed to help her earnestly cultivate the children and were quite useful.
After finishing her meal, the dishes were collected and cleaned by a robot.
It was exactly one o’clock. Jiang Suisui would rest until two before starting a new round of work.
At dinner time, she prepared food again to send as a snack to Jiang Xingran and Jiang Yueyi, then returned to eat her staff meal, waiting for the six o’clock shift end.
Unexpectedly, after just two bites, a teacher hurriedly came running.
“Jiang Suisui? Your brother and sister got into a fight with their classmates!”
