Lian Fei returned to the dormitory, it was close to four in the morning. She glanced at her class schedule; the glaring “8:00” made her speechless. Well, since she wasn’t very tired, she might as well read for a while. With that thought, Lian Fei grabbed a book and half-reclined on her bed. As for the mech she had brought back, she casually placed it by the bedside.

Before leaving the black market, she had found the man in the suit to return the mech. But he said it was a gift from Old Feng Er and didn’t need to be returned. Lian Fei accepted it without hesitation. Why refuse something free?

When she reached the last page of the “Mech Manufacturing Manual 2,” the alarm she had set went off. Looking at the clock showing “7,” Lian Fei quickly showered in fifteen minutes, changed her clothes, and left. She arrived at the classroom with five minutes to spare before eight.

She scanned the classroom. Apart from Lilith, who was propping her head up with a smile, everyone else was looking at her with a strange expression. Lian Fei ignored them and sat in the front row, in a seat surrounded by empty ones.

Seeing Lian Fei sit down, Lilith immediately left her seat and hurried over to sit beside her.

“Good morning, Lian Fei. Did you sleep well last night?” Lilith asked.

Lian Fei looked surprised at Lilith, then glanced back at the others, who all wore expressions of puzzlement.

On Xu Ang’s face, she saw anger tinged with a sense of betrayal.

Raising an eyebrow, Lian Fei whispered to Lilith, “Aren’t you afraid they’ll ostracize you too?”

Lilith shrugged indifferently, “A hundred… no, ten thousand of them can’t compare to you.”

The current number one on the DOL combat power list and the black market combat power list.

Judging by last night’s performance in the arena, Lilith was certain that as long as she firmly allied with Lian Fei, she would win this Eden.

As for the others? It didn’t matter; they could do whatever they wanted.

Lian Fei replied awkwardly, “You flatter me.”

The pressure was a bit much.

It seemed last night’s misunderstanding about Lilith was quite serious.

How should she explain to make Lilith believe that she wasn’t actually that formidable?

Her victory had been pure coincidence.

While Lian Fei pondered this, the blackboard at the podium flickered and transformed into a display screen.

On the screen appeared a well-dressed man in a suit, looking refined and gentle.

“Hello everyone, I am your instructor for this class,” the man said softly. “My name is Situ Qing. You can call me Teacher Situ.”

“Situ Qing!” Qian Can shouted.

Everyone turned to look at him. Realizing his outburst was rude, he blushed and apologized, then bowed his head onto the desk, hiding his face with his arm.

“Sorry, Teacher Situ. He got a little excited upon seeing you,” Murong Zhaobu explained. “He’s young and immature.”

Lian Fei didn’t know Situ Qing, but judging by everyone’s excited expressions, he must be someone important.

Situ Qing didn’t mind Qian Can’s behavior and smiled gently. “Due to the suspension of interstellar flights, I can’t be there in person to teach you face-to-face. We’ll have to rely on video lessons. I hope you understand.”

Lian Fei thought it might be her imagination, but Situ Qing seemed to glance her way from time to time.

“Teacher Situ, no need to be so polite!” Murong couldn’t contain his excitement. “It’s an honor to receive your guidance!”

Xu Ang echoed, “Yes, Teacher Situ, even a single word of advice from you would satisfy us!”

Soon, others chimed in with similarly humble responses.

Lian Fei considered whether she should say something too, but she didn’t know this Situ Qing and wasn’t sure what to say.

Lilith noticed Lian Fei’s confusion and quietly explained, “He is the military commander of District Seven, Situ Qing.”

Lian Fei was stunned.

So young?

He looked barely in his twenties.

Recalling the military commander of District Ten…

It felt almost surreal.

“Strange. It’s one thing for the District Ten commander to teach us, but why is District Seven involved? They have their own participants in Eden,” Lilith muttered.

Lian Fei raised an eyebrow, staring at Situ Qing on the screen, lost in thought.

“Now, I will explain in detail the types of games in Eden and the varieties within each type,” Situ Qing said.

The screen changed back to a blackboard.

Eden, held every five years, was initiated by Sarenfo, the top-ranked star in the federation. Each planet within the federation, including Sarenfo, must send a team of ten participants.

The winning planet receives generous rewards from the federation, including but not limited to 3S-grade mechs and admission to the federation’s military academy.

Moreover, every member of the winning team and their families can relocate to Sarenfo Star, obtain residency, and live a life among the elite.

Though the rewards were substantial, the past 142 winners had always come from one of the top three strongest planets.

As for participants from other planets, it was little more than a death sentence.

This was the Eden game as Lian Fei knew it.

She had asked Lilith about the condition for ending the game, and Lilith said it usually ended after three rounds.

This was confirmed by Situ Qing.

“Three days before each game begins, the federation president draws lots to decide the game type and venue,” Situ Qing explained. “There are three rounds in total. If, after the third round, all remaining players are from the same planet, the game ends immediately.”

“If players from other planets remain, overtime ensues. Likewise, the overtime game type is decided by drawing lots.”

“However, to date, overtime has never been activated.”

Lian Fei thought for a moment, then raised her hand.

“Lian Fei, do you have a question?” Situ Qing asked.

Lian Fei asked, “Does the overtime continue until only players from the same planet remain?”

Situ Qing smiled and shook his head. “Overtime is a timed point-based match and lasts only one round.”

Hearing this, Lian Fei breathed a sigh of relief.

“Any other questions?” Situ Qing looked toward Lian Fei.

She shook her head.

Situ Qing continued, “Next, I will explain the game categories.”

Eden games are divided into three main types: physical strength, intelligence, and teamwork.

Within each category, there are 50 different games. These 50 games are graded from C to S based on difficulty.

In other words, the three matches are randomly selected from these 150 games.

Originally, Eden had only 20 games; the number increased gradually.

“Currently, there are still 10 games that have never been drawn. All of these are S-level difficulty.”

“Information about these unplayed games is strictly confidential, so I cannot provide any advice,” Situ Qing said, taking a sip of water. “Hopefully, you won’t be unlucky enough to draw one of these ten.”

Lian Fei had a feeling she might be that “lucky” one and end up drawing three of these S-level games.
