Chapter 13: Is It Delicious?
“According to the records, aren’t you supposed to be human?”
“Why do you carry the suppressive power of a High-Rank Entity?”
When Enzo uttered these words, it wasn’t a question but more of a terrified exclamation.
Hearing this, Slippery Head looked puzzled.
“What exactly is a High-Rank Entity?”
Liuguang’s voice was low and serious as he asked.
“A High-Rank Entity refers to those supernatural beings of a higher echelon!”
“To put it simply, Enzo is like a mortal right now, while S292 is akin to an emperor!”
Slippery Head seemed to grasp the explanation.
“Is there really such a classification?”
Liuguang nodded.
“Yes! The captain told me this during one of our conversations!”
“The captain’s former teammates died at the hands of High-Rank Entities!”
Slippery Head forced a smile more painful than tears.
“So that means S292 isn’t human anymore, right?”
Liuguang shook his head.
“I don’t know either.”
Their voices were low, but Lu Xiao heard everything clearly.
He turned his head a full 180 degrees to look at the two whispering conspiratorially.
A faint, somewhat ‘friendly’ smile curved his lips.
“I really am human! You have to believe me!”
If not for his head twisted at an angle no human could manage, they might have believed him.
By now, Xiaoyu was nearly in tears, frightened beyond measure.
Seeing her like this, Lu Xiao’s expression instantly turned savage again.
He twisted his head another 180 degrees, now a full 360-degree rotation, fixating on the cowering Enzo.
“You frightened this beautiful lady with your appearance!”
His face had begun to distort as he spoke.
Enzo muttered repeatedly,
“Impossible! Impossible!”
Slippery Head, emboldened, asked,
“S292… sir! What kind of supernatural is he?”
Lu Xiao’s neck snapped back into place with a series of bone-cracking sounds, silencing everyone in the room.
He shook his neck.
“My name is Lu Xiao — the ‘Xiao’ of smiling face!”
He then pointed to Enzo sprawled on the floor.
“He isn’t even a supernatural being! Just a lowly vampire!”
“And a newly converted one at that!”
At that moment, the training room door opened again.
The doctor entered briskly.
He had watched everything unfold clearly through the surveillance monitors.
After spending some time lifting the emergency lockdown, he arrived, fashionably late.
---
Seeing the doctor enter, Lu Xiao glanced at him but then ignored him.
The doctor checked the status of Fei Biao.
Fei Biao’s condition was dire—excessive blood loss was just one issue.
His thorax and abdomen had been pierced by Enzo’s bony wings.
His internal organs were severely damaged, and with prolonged bleeding, his vital signs were barely detectable.
By normal medical standards, this would be a time to notify the family.
But this place was hardly normal.
The doctor took out his radio.
“Bring S069 here!”
Suddenly, he seemed to recall something else.
“Make sure he brings the medical kit!”
After finishing his preparations, he came over to Lu Xiao’s side.
“You really put on quite a show just now!”
Lu Xiao smiled cheerfully.
“Thank you for the compliment, sir!”
The doctor adjusted his monocle and pointed to the immobilized Enzo.
“You said he’s a newly converted vampire?”
Lu Xiao nodded softly.
“That’s right. He’s nothing like the vampires we saw in that dark prison!”
“Those vampires looked far more formidable!”
The doctor nodded thoughtfully.
“If he’s newly converted, this changes things.”
Lu Xiao grinned.
“So, Doctor, can I kill him now?”
The doctor pondered, then nodded.
“As long as it makes you happy.”
Hearing this, Lu Xiao’s smile widened as he reached his hands toward Enzo’s prone form.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
This scene, unsuitable for minors, has been omitted.
Ten minutes later, Lu Xiao straightened up, wiping the blood off his fingers with satisfaction.
The team members behind him were horrified, covering their mouths tightly.
Even the doctor’s brow twitched.
He posed a question.
“It’s clear you really dislike supernaturals, isn’t that so?”
Because Lu Xiao had torn that vampire apart alive.
And then arranged the remains so neatly.
The scene was gruesomely bloody.
Lu Xiao took a moment to understand the doctor’s words and then smiled sheepishly.
“Sir, it’s not what you think!”
He gestured to Enzo’s corpse, laid out tidily on the floor.
“This is for convenience when eating!”
---
“Besides, he’s not the kind of supernatural you’re talking about!”
The doctor nearly dropped his monocle, hastily adjusting it.
“You mean to say you intend to eat it?”
Lu Xiao nodded, smiling.
The astonishment was mirrored on Liuguang’s, Slippery Head’s, and Xiaoyu’s faces.
At that moment, the training room door opened once more.
A squad of special forces soldiers entered, accompanied by a three-meter-tall prison medic.
The medic immediately spotted Lu Xiao and hurried forward.
“My friend! I’m so relieved to see you unharmed!”
Lu Xiao turned to the medic, equally pleased.
“My friend, your medical skills are extraordinary! I feel better than ever!”
“To earn your recognition makes all my efforts worthwhile!”
The team leader of the special forces signaled for them to stand by.
The doctor whispered,
“You all wait here.”
The medic suddenly remembered the purpose of his visit — a trade.
He said to Lu Xiao,
“Sorry, my friend! I have other matters to attend to.”
Then he looked to the doctor.
“Doctor, is there anything I can assist you with?”
The doctor pointed to the barely breathing Fei Biao on the floor.
The medic turned to look, then his voice grew excited.
“Oh! Such a pitiful man. He seems gravely injured!”
The doctor nodded.
“The trade’s condition is to save his life.”
The medic gently set his medical bag on the ground and began examining Fei Biao.
“What a tragic case! His internal organs are utterly shattered!”
Members of Fei Biao’s squad gathered anxiously, pleading with the medic to save their captain.
The medic’s tone was moved.
“Seeing your bonds moves me deeply.”
“As a doctor, I will do everything in my power to save him.”
He then commenced surgery.
The doctor resumed chatting with Lu Xiao.
“Where was I before?”
Lu Xiao grinned.
“You were asking me if it tastes good.”
