Jiang Yunhan was stunned by the dialogue between the two.

He had already recognized the extraordinary nature of the young monk, noting his firm gaze and inner aspirations. He never expected that Chen Xiao could bamboozle the boy so thoroughly that he seemed ready to charge into the storage facility at a moment's notice. As long as the little monk agreed, Chen Xiao had ten thousand ways to keep him around.

And so, the three survivors of the elimination game rushed toward the South City storage facility. Chen Xiao was genuinely curious as to how a child only one meter tall could possess such immense power; he was running just as fast as he was!

Soon, the three reached the outskirts of South City and saw a massive notice board: "Tianyi Storage is recruiting elites. B-rank and above are exempt from testing!"

Beneath the sign stood several hoodlums, appearing to be on guard duty. Chen Xiao and his companions watched from the shadows. Seeing the changes, Chen Xiao cursed under his breath. It seemed that time within the game was synchronized with the outside world! Half a month had already passed.

Just as Lin Er had warned, Lin Da had truly invaded South City.

"Damn it, I wonder how Chuxue is doing..." Jiang Yunhan’s face turned livid. He had been relishing the pleasure of his SSS-rank talent, but now he felt like grinding his teeth to dust.

Chen Xiao was equally worried. Where were those people now? Had they escaped, were they imprisoned by Lin Da, or had they already been killed?

However, there was one silver lining: their talents were highly complementary. Dashan possessed an S-rank combat talent, capable of handling ninety percent of the people in this apocalypse. Chuxue and Shirou both had creation-type talents, ensuring an endless supply of mutton and water. As long as they had a place to hide, they wouldn't die easily.

Jiang Yunhan watched the heavily guarded gate, hesitating on how to infiltrate the facility and capture the leader first. But in the next second, a black figure flew out with a "bang!" It was Chen Xiao.

"Do you have to be so impulsive..." Seeing this brute already charging toward the perimeter fence, Jiang Yunhan didn't have time to consider further and followed closely behind. The little monk, not entirely sure what was happening, only knew that staying with Chen Xiao was his path to experiencing the mortal world and tasting the delicious mutton of the apocalypse. He followed the pair at a steady, unhurried pace.

"Who goes there? This is Tianyi Storage!"
"Stop and show your tokens!"
"If you are here to join, you must offer supplies first. If you have no supplies, offer your women!"
"I told you to stop!"

"How dare you act so recklessly at Tianyi Storage!"

There were four guards at the gate, and they had never encountered such a thorny situation. Three figures of incredible speed were kicking up clouds of dust, their eyes filled with murderous intent. Usually, those who came to the storage were polite, even offering tips. How could these people have such a different style of operation?

They hadn't even finished their warning. A black shadow carrying a long blue arc, a figure wrapped in green light, and a petite figure as quick as a flash descended upon them. In the blink of an eye, the three completed a clean sweep:

Chen Xiao brandished his blade of water, the light of the steel like a shimmering chain, killing two men in an instant.

Jiang Yunhan, relying on the power of vitality, threw a punch, a flurry of green shadows effectively pounding one man to death on the spot.

Although the little monk was young and small, his strikes were far from soft. With a gentle wave of his hand, a massive force surged out, and a muffled thud echoed as he pierced through a man's chest.

"You really dare to kill?"
"Why wouldn't I? To save the common people, why dwell on the fate of mere minnows and shrimp?"

Chen Xiao chuckled; this kid was truly unique. He had a philosophy for everything.

Crossing the defensive line, Chen Xiao and the others headed straight for the main storage building. Along the way, many people noticed them but dared not intervene, only watching as three ferocious lights surged past.

On the rooftop of the South City storage, Chen Xiao kicked open the door to what was once Jiang Chuxue's room. The room was revealed in its current state. The layout hadn't changed, but the occupants certainly had. Various items of lingerie scattered about were definitely not something Jiang Chuxue would ever leave behind.

Scanning the room, he saw two terrified people on the large, soft bed—a man and a woman, completely naked, clutching the bedding to cover their private parts. They hadn't expected anyone to break in at such a critical moment. The woman’s face was flushed, and she buried her head deep in the quilt. The man, initially panicked, quickly turned to fury.

"Who are you people! Do you know whose room this is?" The man began to curse, preparing to stand up and teach these wet-behind-the-ears brats a lesson.

Jiang Yunhan’s eyes turned cold. Displeased, he delivered a fierce slap that sent the man flying, crashing into the headboard.

The man sobered up instantly. "Are you... the previous owners of the storage?"

"Previous owners my ass. The South City storage was built by them in the first place." Chen Xiao stepped forward, slamming his foot down firmly onto the man's chest. "Tell me, where did the man and two women who were originally here go?"

The man hesitated for a moment, his face miserable. "Big brother, I really don't know! I only just got assigned this room."

The little monk spoke up calmly from beside them: "You have lived here for at least a week. There are more than seven pieces of unwashed clothing here."

Jiang Yunhan smiled and patted the little monk on the head, giving him a thumbs-up.

Seeing he couldn't hide the truth, the man glanced toward the window. "Bang!"

Chen Xiao’s fist met his face, leaving him dazed. His nose was bleeding, his eyes bruised, and his vision blurred.

"What... what do you want!"

Jiang Yunhan, losing patience and anxious about Jiang Chuxue, stomped down and shattered the man’s leg bone.

"Ahhhhh!"
"Answer him, where did the man and two women who were waiting here go?"
"Ahhh, I'll talk, I'll talk, just get off my leg!"

Seeing that this method worked, Chen Xiao followed suit and shattered the man's other leg.

"Ahhh, please, please, you're my grandfathers! They... they were trying to flee to Jiangnan City, and now... now they are being hunted by Boss Lin!"

The man spat out the truth through gritted teeth, praying only that they would spare his life.

"Hmph, Boss Lin... he has some guts." A burning, uncontrollable rage flickered in Jiang Yunhan’s eyes.

Chen Xiao casually fashioned a water blade and ended the man's life. Not even a drop of blood spilled.

"Chen Xiao, the people you're looking for have left. Where are we going now?" the little monk asked with distinct, rhythmic cadence.

Chen Xiao looked out the window. "Does that even need asking? To save them, and while we're at it, slaughter the Lin family."

Jiang Yunhan tilted his head. "Slaughter the Lin family?"

Chen Xiao met his gaze and nodded. "Boss Lin couldn't have taken the entire Lin family with him. What I'm going to do is strike while he's vulnerable and end his entire lineage!"

Jiang Yunhan hadn't expected Chen Xiao to be so bloodthirsty. Did he intend to kill even the innocent?

Seeing his hesitation, Chen Xiao said coldly, "You killed their father, grandfather, and uncle. Do you think they won't seek revenge?" He patted Jiang Yunhan on the shoulder. "When you pull up the weeds, you must dig out the roots!"

He turned and walked toward the door, a long blade of water forming in his hand. Today, Chen Xiao would embark on a massacre.
