“Misha is still working, wait a moment.” Arlen pressed gently on Yu Xia’s shoulder as they settled onto the sofa, pouring her a cup of tea with sugar and milk. “Do you prefer tea or milk?”
Yu Xia quietly thanked him and, without hesitation, chose the milk.
Arlen, as if by habit, fetched several small plates of snacks from a nearby room, and casually handed Yu Xia a small, plump red snake plush toy from the cabinet.
Yu Xia drank the entire cup in one breath.
After all, only those who have wandered far from home for a long time truly understand how wonderful it is to have a place to call their own.
The group exchanged a few casual words, beginning with some light conversation at the dining table, toasts and such. After a few rounds of drinks, it was time to address certain matters.
Yan Weiming smiled and nodded, glancing toward private room number two with a hint of inexplicable meaning in his eyes.
“On all fronts,” Cheng Nuo said calmly, adding diced shiitake mushrooms into the pot before covering it.
Regarding Gu Lie’s actions, Emperor Hun Tian merely furrowed his brows slightly before resuming his ever-serene smile, maintaining an unruffled demeanor.

Suddenly, three deliberate knocks sounded at the door outside. No one was allowed to enter without his permission.
The other party was powerful, and Jin Tianze stood alone. Though he dared not cause trouble, he refused to leave, keeping watch from a distance outside the courtyard.
As time passed, the seal trapped within the silver ring began to tremble, as if struggling to break free from its prison.
The two men walked in, chatting and laughing, and chose a modest corner to sit. Soon after, the bar owner personally approached them with drinks, embracing Cheng Nuo briefly before shaking hands with the other man.
He had spilled at least seven or eight bowls of wine over himself but, caught up in the excitement, he had forgotten whether it stained his clothes.
“I’m not boasting, I just think you’re all too weak... Hey, captain, don’t pull me!” Lin Qingyue shook off Yang Zhenxin’s hand.
Dragging Qiao Zhenting across the yard, even the bodyguards cast surprised glances. This was no walk—it was clearly the dog walking the man, wasn’t it?
“Father, just consider your son unlucky,” Asih interrupted Xia Zhenshang, “I cannot accept such a sister.” With that, he resigned himself and turned to enter his own courtyard.
If Prefect Yang recognized him, it would make everyone uncomfortable and invite a host of troubles. Why risk it?
“Master, everything has been arranged. The Cao family’s casinos in Jiangcheng have all been sealed off. I believe within a few days, the Cao family will be unsettled,” Han Beicheng reported in a low voice.

Boom! A thunderous explosion echoed, the force bursting outward. Xie Fangqing and the blood beast were struck as if by a heavy blow, flying backward.
He Rou clutched her chest, heart pounding fiercely. She struggled to breathe, gasping, her face flushed with exertion.
Since last night, General Zuo had already consumed quite a bit of wine. With death seeming inevitable, he brandished his sword and shouted, “Brothers, today we either succeed or perish! Once we overthrow this emperor, I will ensure you all are rewarded with titles and ranks!” The imperial guards roared three times in response.
Lu Manjing answered before Gu Huaming could: “Go ahead.” Then she turned and pushed her husband into the house.
The monster roared furiously and charged at Mu Hua. Mu Hua did not dodge; his eyes darkened, and with a sudden surge of power in his palm, he struck the monster’s vital spot.
The black mist had not anticipated that the Sixth Prince harbored such deep suspicion. Even with the corpse’s relics scattered around him, he was not fully convinced.
After friends and family bade farewell to the deceased and the coffin was closed, a period of silence followed—this was an Eastern Orthodox custom. They believed Christ resurrected after three days, and the dead should be given a chance to rise again.
One prisoner transport after another snaked from the west gate all the way to the execution ground, stretching endlessly out of sight.
