Lu Shiling was tending to his fur as usual, occasionally popping a piece of fruit into his mouth while boasting to the beastmen in the isolation cells about how well Yunfu treated him.

As for the other beastmen, Yunfu merely helped those lonely males now and then whenever she happened to feel sorry for them.

Lu Shiling was in the middle of gloating when he saw the floating comments in the air, and his expression abruptly changed.

[Oh my god, everyone, stop watching this fox show off and go check on the female supporting character! The black dragon is back, and he seems to have lost all reason. Those wings have completely trapped her inside!]

[Good heavens, has the black dragon turned into a berserk beast? Is the female supporting character going to be all right? She’s in danger!]

Lu Shiling’s heart jolted. He slammed his claws against the barrier, leaving deep marks in its surface.

He desperately wanted to get out, to make sure Yunfu was safe.

He regretted acting so impulsively before. His mental domain had suffered severe contamination, leaving him confined here and unable even to go save her.

He frantically sent Yunfu messages, asking whether she was safe, then pressed the alarm to summon Valen.

Meanwhile, at the villa—

In the darkness, Yunfu’s breath was captured as someone nibbled and bit at her, as though determined to mark every inch of her body.

Especially the hand Yunfu had used to stroke the beastman during the day—it was being made damp and slick, as if he meant to cover the scent of every other beast with his own.

What an overbearing possessiveness.

The air in Yunfu’s lungs was stolen away, leaving her dizzy. She could tell that Gu Lin was in a very abnormal state, but no matter how abnormal he was, that was no reason for her to let him bully her.

Yunfu turned her head, and Gu Lin instinctively followed. His cool lips brushed against her ear, then pressed against her neck.

While Gu Lin’s attention was absorbed in these acts, Yunfu deftly felt along the man’s hand until she found his electroshock bracelet. She was just about to activate it when someone caught her hand, and the tip of the dragon’s tail began to move in another direction.

Desperate, Yunfu slapped the man across the face with her other hand.

The sharp smack left him stunned. His tightly folded wings loosened, and a sliver of light slipped through.

Yunfu met those bottomless, pitch-black eyes and felt a little afraid that Gu Lin, who seemed to have no reason left, might hurt her.

Yet in the next instant, Gu Lin seized her wrist and actually leaned forward of his own accord, bringing his face to her palm. He inhaled against it with his lips, his nose twitching as a different light surfaced in his eyes.

“You smell so good…”

Yunfu: “…”

Yunfu found Gu Lin’s electroshock bracelet and activated the shock program.

It was not long before the black dragon, who had still been kissing her palm, was electrocuted unconscious. His tail, however, remained wrapped tightly around her.

It coiled around her so firmly that, had it not been covered in scales, one might have mistaken it for a vine that had grown solely to cling to her.

Yunfu freed herself from the dragon’s coils, pried open Gu Lin’s wings, and climbed out of his embrace.

She gazed at the man’s enormous black wings. The feathers were pure black, glossy, and undeniably imposing.

But a question arose: Did dragons actually have wings? Or had this particular dragon, Gu Lin, mutated?

Seeing that its host was safe, the system finally relaxed and explained:

“Gu Lin possesses the soul of a Winged Dragon, so having wings is perfectly normal.”

“Those wings are also the reason he usually has the advantage when exterminating the insectoid race. He can take down an entire swarm by himself and has won countless medals of honor for the Empire.”

After finishing, the system added a warning:

“Gu Lin encountered mutated insectoids in the contaminated zone and suffered severe mental contamination. His contamination level has reached ninety percent. He urgently needs mental soothing; otherwise, he will most likely be sent to the Detention Center to keep the fox company.”
