Chapter 3: Voluntarily Offering the Dragon Horn
Page 1/3
Gu Lin’s expression nearly broke as he grit his teeth and glared at the unruly dragon tail, using his hand to pry it away. His fingertips accidentally brushed against the soft skin of the female, causing a flush of heat to rise on his face. Just as he was about to withdraw his hand, Yun Fu woke up.
“Are you sneaking a touch of my foot?”
“I never expected the famed Commander Gu of the Empire to have such a hobby.”
A lazy voice echoed through the room, laden with teasing.
[Finally, a scene! I’m dying laughing. Honestly, Yun Fu is pretty good at mocking people.]
[Black Dragon, don’t be so shy. With your relationship, what’s wrong with touching feet? Instead, pinch the beauty’s waist or give her a kiss!]
Gu Lin froze, ignoring the messages he saw again.
So reckless, utterly unbecoming.
Faced with Yun Fu’s words—whether they belittled him or merely teased—Gu Lin’s eyes darkened. Without expression, he sat up straight and stopped the dragon tail from clinging so disrespectfully to Yun Fu.
“Since you’re awake, let’s talk about the inducer. Yun Fu, why did you drug me? Don’t you know it’s a grave mistake to use an inducer on orcs from the Empire’s military district?”
Someone like Gu Lin could be sent to the contaminated zone at any time to fight. To ensure their safety, the Empire had strict rules forbidding the use of inducers on them, not even by their female masters.
Yun Fu pressed her ruby lips together, assessing Gu Lin’s mental state, which was vastly different from the restless figure she’d seen last night. Cautiously, she tapped the system.
“Has Gu Lin’s mental pollution decreased?”
Marking an orc could reduce pollution to some extent. She’d used a temporary marking method but worried that without spiritual power, she might not have been able to mark him properly.
If the mark failed, she’d have to painfully resort to using perfume that reduces mental pollution and play the entire act.
The system’s response came after analysis: “It has decreased.”
And by an unusually large margin.
Yun Fu smiled faintly. That meant all was well.
She looked up at Gu Lin and began to argue.
“Your pollution level was too high, and you often entered the contaminated zone. I was worried you’d resist my help. Without the inducer, I know you wouldn’t have stayed for me to mark you.”
Several orc husbands openly despised her. Even though imperial regulations forced them to live together, they never returned willingly.
So her explanation made sense, didn’t it?
The female’s delicate beauty and the slight grievance on her face as she spoke caused Gu Lin to clench his fingers and lower his gaze.
Sensing the thick fragrance of Yun Fu on his body and seeing his mental pollution drop, Gu Lin checked the data on his tracking bracelet. His pollution had dropped by a full 10%!
His black pupils contracted slightly.
Yun Fu had no spiritual power—just a temporary mark—and yet she had reduced his pollution so much?
Such comforting ability could only belong to a 3S-grade female.

“Have you awakened spiritual power?”
Perhaps it was the temporary mark, or maybe she truly had lowered his pollution level significantly; Gu Lin felt an uncontrollable closeness toward Yun Fu.
Though his expression remained cold, his voice was noticeably softer than last night.
[That expression—no way, he actually believes he was marked by Yun Fu? Is the Black Dragon really that innocent? Yun Fu has no spiritual power; she can’t mark orcs!]
[Being single so long, the orc must be desperate. But did his intelligence really drop that much not to notice? Look at Yun Fu’s porcelain skin—there’s not a single mark.]
[If you believe that vicious side character’s words, is the Black Dragon still the rational orc on the edge of madness? Don’t tell me he’s been bewitched by Yun Fu.]
Some believed Black Dragon’s good condition was proof Yun Fu truly comforted him.
[Black Dragon isn’t a fool. Besides, they have pollution detection bracelets showing the data. Judging by his attitude, his pollution level must have dropped.]
[Such a golden opportunity to exploit someone—yet she secretly comforts Black Dragon? She must be trying to win his heart with love. That villainous female character, I’m crying.]
Gu Lin’s eyes darkened.
He didn’t know where these messages came from, but the reduction in his pollution was real. Who were these people to slander Yun Fu so freely?
Seeing the last few lines, Gu Lin’s cold, serious heart trembled.
Yun Fu loves him?
“I don’t know; I’ve never had it tested.”
Yun Fu was puzzled by Gu Lin’s question but secretly hoped to awaken spiritual power herself—at least to have some means of self-defense.
Gu Lin paused for a moment, watching the calm figure of Yun Fu, so different from the gloomy and irritable woman he had seen before.
Can a person really change so much in a single day?
“I’ll take you to the testing center when I have time.”
She nodded.
With Gu Lin’s danger temporarily lifted, she relaxed a little.
Her gaze fell on the handsome man with black hair and eyes, noticing his combat suit had been torn last night, revealing his sharply defined abs and chest.
Hmm, and a lean waist.
No wonder he was the Black Dragon orc and the Empire’s commander—his physique was superb.
As Yun Fu looked, Gu Lin stiffened, his body suddenly heating up.
Though Yun Fu’s gaze was simply a casual glance, the man felt countless feathers brush his heart, a tickling warmth that reddened his ears.
Gu Lin’s face remained impassive, but his features tightened. With steady eyes, he took out a set of clothes from the spatial knot and quickly dressed.
Casting a glance at the dragon tail slyly clinging to Yun Fu’s waist, his gaze darkened, and he withdrew both the dragon horns and tail.
Now that Gu Lin’s pollution had dropped so much, these beastly traits could be retracted.
Watching those imposing dragon horns disappear, leaving only soft black hair atop his head, Yun Fu thought the orcs were truly fascinating.

Being able to switch between beast and human form at will must really wreck clothes—there was big business in selling clothes here.
As Yun Fu’s thoughts wandered, Gu Lin noticed her staring at the top of his head and thought she still wanted his dragon horns. His brow furrowed.
Still the same vicious nature?
“You can’t cut off my dragon horns. Stop thinking about it.”
Yun Fu snapped back to reality, lifting her chin proudly, her snowy face brimming with arrogance.
“I already said it was a misunderstanding. You’re so persistent—aren’t you tired of it, Gu Lin?”
“I just think your horns look beautiful and wanted to touch them. You’re my orc husband; can’t I touch them?”
“Even if I rubbed your horns bald, you should actively lean in and let me touch them.”
These words stunned Gu Lin.
Facing Yun Fu’s lush, radiant face, Gu Lin strangely did release his dragon horns, moving his head closer.
No matter how malicious Yun Fu was, since she marked him, he belonged to her. He should love and protect her. Such a small request was reasonable.
Thus thought the cold yet traditional Black Dragon orc.
[...Is this still the cold, unapproachable Black Dragon? Why has he suddenly become so cheap?]
[Aah, what’s Black Dragon doing? Isn’t he supposed to be waiting to be saved by the heroine? What’s going on?]
By the way, who was this heroine? Who exactly was she?
Gu Lin’s eyes paused for a few seconds while Yun Fu unabashedly poked the extended dragon horns a few times.
The soft touch on the horns made Gu Lin’s breath deepen.
Just as he struggled to wrap his dragon tail around Yun Fu’s waist, his intelligent brain beeped—a sudden emergency notice from the Empire’s military command.
A contaminated zone on a certain imperial planet was expanding, flooding with countless insectoid creatures. Gu Lin was urgently needed to lead troops to reinforce.
[Don’t go! I remember this—because of Yun Fu drugging Black Dragon and his lack of spiritual comfort, his pollution level skyrocketed in the contaminated zone, and he almost didn’t make it back.]
[What’s that upstairs saying? The plot is finally starting. Black Dragon has to go. If he doesn’t, how will the beautiful and kind heroine comfort him spiritually, leading him to fall in love with her?]
Gu Lin frowned. Whoever this heroine was, his pollution was safe for now—nothing would happen. Moreover, he would never associate with other females while under a female master’s watch.
“Wait for me.”
He looked at Yun Fu deeply before preparing to leave.
Yun Fu, anticipating this crucial plot moment, grabbed the corner of Black Dragon’s clothes.
“Gu Lin, my orc husband must be absolutely pure. If you get dirty, I won’t hesitate to abandon you.”
