Gongshu Ye gave a soft snort. “You are young, yet your arrogance knows no bounds! Do you really think that just because you have entered the Transcendent Realm, no one can subdue you? Very well. Today, I will show you that there is always someone stronger, and a greater heaven beyond every sky!”
Gongshu Ye was thinking to himself as well: To have entered the Transcendent Realm at such a young age, you have no idea how many people you have offended without even realizing it. Among all the revered grandmasters in the world, who would tolerate a grandmaster as young as you remaining alive?
Are you not a prodigy blessed by heaven? Have you never heard that heaven envies genius? Today, I shall end your life and make sure your name never even earns the right to be known by the world!
With that, Gongshu Ye made no dramatic movement. He merely raised one foot and slowly took a step forward.
Yet with that single step, he crossed the dozen or so meters between them. His figure blurred through the air, and in an instant he had already lunged before Lin Le!
“Roar!”
Gongshu Ye drove out a fist. His entire arm and fist were wrapped in true energy shaped like a dragon’s head. The energy had already begun to gleam with a golden hue, and its density was almost condensed to the utmost limit.
This was the True Dragon Force that Xie Xinglong had used before. However, Xie Xinglong’s martial cultivation was far too weak to unleash its full power. Gongshu Ye, on the other hand, had refined the true energy within his body to its peak. The power of his True Dragon Force was a hundred, even a thousand times greater than Xie Xinglong’s!
“The True Dragon Force! This is the real True Dragon Force!” Xie Xinglong cried out in excitement.
Lin Le had also sensed the formidable power contained in Gongshu Ye’s punch, and could not help marveling inwardly. As expected of a Transcendent Grandmaster—he truly was powerful!
Gongshu Ye was astonishingly fast. With no time to think, Lin Le hurriedly transformed his true energy into a circular shield and raised it before himself.
Even so, when the True Dragon Force struck, Lin Le still felt an enormous impact pass through the shield and slam into both his arms. His entire body felt as though it had been hit head-on by a speeding train, and pain shot through his arms.
The shield had already dispersed most of the force. Had Lin Le been even a moment too slow to form it, he would probably have been dead by now!
It seemed that Gongshu Ye had never intended to show mercy. From the very beginning, he had meant to kill Lin Le.
With a thunderous boom, Lin Le was blasted backward by the True Dragon Force. His feet clutched desperately at the ground, yet the concrete beneath them was torn into two deep furrows.
Before Lin Le could recover, Gongshu Ye had already chased him down.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Fist after fist, each infused with the mighty True Dragon Force, rained down upon Lin Le. For a time, Lin Le was almost completely unable to defend himself.
Before Gongshu Ye had moved, he had stood there like an imposing mountain. But the instant he attacked, he became a violent storm, surging toward Lin Le with relentless ferocity and hammering him without pause, as though he would not stop until his opponent was dead.
Seeing this, smug smiles appeared on the faces of Xie Jingguo, Xie Xinglong, and the others.
As expected, only a grandmaster could stand against a grandmaster!
The power Lin Le had displayed earlier had truly shocked them, but now he was still being firmly suppressed by Grandmaster Gongshu.

That was only natural. Although they were both Transcendent Grandmasters, Lin Le was so young that he had probably only barely crossed the threshold of the realm. Grandmaster Gongshu, by contrast, had entered the Transcendent Realm more than a decade ago and had made his name throughout Cathay. In cultivation, martial techniques, and reputation alike, he was someone Lin Le could never hope to match. How could Lin Le possibly be his opponent?
No one understood Xie Xinglong’s master, Gongshu Ye, better than he did. Though Gongshu Ye held the exalted status of a Transcendent Grandmaster, he was in truth extremely narrow-minded. Lin Le was merely a younger generation, yet he had dared to behave so arrogantly before him. Moreover, Lin Le had entered the Transcendent Realm at such a young age. If he were given the chance to develop, would he not one day rise above Master Gongshu Ye? Those two facts alone were already intolerable to Gongshu Ye.
Judging from his master’s attacks, he had employed the True Dragon Force from the very start, and every move was vicious. He clearly had no intention of leaving Lin Le alive!
Xie Xinglong secretly exulted. Lin Le, today you will surely lie dead within the Xie family estate!
Xie Qiushan did not understand exactly what kind of existence a Transcendent Grandmaster was, but she knew very well what position Gongshu Ye held in Cathay’s martial world. Anyone treated with such respect by her father, Xie Jiuling, was certainly no ordinary man.
Now that she saw Lin Le being utterly suppressed by Gongshu Ye, her heart had already tightened with anxiety.
Although Gongshu Ye had remained firmly in control of the battle, he was inwardly astonished.
With the power of his True Dragon Force, an ordinary martial artist would likely be unable to withstand even a single strike. Even a grandmaster who had only just entered the Transcendent Realm would find it difficult to endure head-on. Yet this young man before him had managed to take dozens of blows in succession. He was no simple opponent!
Gongshu Ye’s resolve became even firmer: This youth could not be allowed to live.
Otherwise, he would become a tremendous threat to Gongshu Ye, to the Cloud Dragon Sect, and to the Xie family!
With that thought, a ruthless look crossed Gongshu Ye’s face, and he prepared to unleash an even more powerful technique.
At that moment, however, Lin Le’s voice suddenly rang out in Gongshu Ye’s mind through a transmission of spiritual sense.
“Old bastard, are you really that eager to kill me?”
Gongshu Ye froze and stared at him in disbelief.
Lin Le was looking up at him. Within those eyes seemed to lurk a bloodthirsty aura capable of striking terror into the soul, as though countless corpses lay beneath them.
Gongshu Ye could not help feeling a chill run down his spine. He had roamed the martial world for decades and had encountered many murderous experts, but he had never seen killing intent so fierce and concentrated as this.
Gongshu Ye no longer wished to wonder about the young man’s abilities or origins. At that moment, he thought only of killing him.
His expression hardened, and the power of the True Dragon Force within his body immediately surged.
“Die!”
Gongshu Ye shouted through spiritual transmission.
Then he drove his fist toward Lin Le with a thunderous roar. His entire fist suddenly transformed into a golden dragon’s head, which opened its cavernous jaws and lunged down toward Lin Le’s chest.

“The Eight Supreme Techniques of the Celestial Firmament—Fist Shaking the Heavenly River!”
Knowing full well that his opponent intended to kill him, Lin Le no longer held anything back. He immediately employed an immortal martial technique.
At the moment Gongshu Ye’s True Dragon Force struck Lin Le in the chest, Lin Le’s Fist Shaking the Heavenly River also struck Gongshu Ye.
Boom!
A deafening explosion erupted between them as two colossal waves of force burst outward.
Gongshu Ye and Lin Le were simultaneously blasted backward.
The tremendous shockwave set the ground trembling. Even Xie Jingguo and the others watching nearby were affected; their bodies lurched violently, and they nearly fell to the ground.
When they looked again, Gongshu Ye and Lin Le had already separated and were standing opposite each other.
Everyone was awestruck by the power of the two men, reverence written across their faces.
Was this the strength of Transcendent Grandmasters?
It was terrifying—so terrifying that it seemed to have surpassed the limits of humanity!
Before a battle between two such grandmasters, Xie Jingguo, Xie Yucheng, the other members of the Xie family, and all the family guards felt unbearably insignificant, like fish caught in the moat when the city gates were under attack.
Gongshu Ye finally managed to steady himself, but a searing pain spread through his body. His chest, struck by the force of Lin Le’s Fist Shaking the Heavenly River, hurt so badly that it felt as though it were about to split apart.
He stared at Lin Le in disbelief. The energy the young man could unleash had far exceeded his expectations.
More than that, Lin Le’s mentality had also left Gongshu Ye astonished.
Lin Le had clearly had the opportunity to use Fist Shaking the Heavenly River to neutralize Gongshu Ye’s True Dragon Force. Yet instead, he had chosen to fight in a manner that injured both sides. It was utterly reckless!
Although Lin Le had also taken the full force of Gongshu Ye’s True Dragon Force in the chest, a cold smile now curved his lips.
When it came to martial techniques, this old veteran might indeed have the advantage over me. But if we are comparing courage and ruthlessness, you are still far behind!
You want to kill me, do you? Then I would like to see whether you have what it takes to withstand punishment as well as I do.
