Chapter 14 Then Why Don't You Lick It Clean?
Men truly are creatures ruled by their lower halves. Xu An’an cursed inwardly.
She chose to ignore him and continued walking forward. Yet Jiang Li seemed determined to oppose her at every turn—she moved left, he blocked her way; she veered right, he cut her off again, as if deliberately playing with her.
Worried that Jiang Yu and Ning Xiyue might suddenly appear, Xu An’an had no choice but to drag Jiang Li into an empty private room. She kicked the door shut behind them and, with a swift motion, pushed Jiang Li down onto the sofa.
Without the slightest politeness, she straddled him. Her snow-white, slender arms braced on either side of his head. Her patience was wearing thin, and her enchanting, clear eyes glared at him with resentment. Though there was little threat in her gaze, it shimmered with a trembling, watery light.
“As you can see, Second Master Jiang, I have things to do that aren’t in your nephew’s best interest,” she said coldly. “Tonight, I’m very busy. If Second Master Jiang desperately needs a woman to satisfy his physical urges, I know plenty of beautiful girls who could meet your needs.”
Jiang Li’s eyes, lowered beneath cool brows, were icy and detached. When he noticed the hem of her skirt flipped up, exposing her smooth, jade-like thighs, he reached out and carefully pulled it down to cover her.
“Why aren’t you wearing safety shorts?” he asked.
Is that really the point right now? Xu An’an rolled her eyes while he wasn’t looking. “Who else is to blame? Weren’t you the one who prepared my clothes?”
Jiang Li seemed amused by the thought, a wicked smile curving his lips. “True. I did prepare quite a few for you. But this makes things more convenient now, doesn’t it?”
With those words, his large, burning hand slipped beneath her skirt, brazenly exploring. His casual teasing was enough to make Xu An’an lose all composure. Her eyes, their corners flushed red, lifted helplessly as her strength melted away under his touch, leaving her slumped against his shoulder.
She bit her lip hard, forcing down any sound in her throat. But Jiang Li wanted her to cry out, and his hand moved faster, more insistently. His deep, seductive voice lingered at her ear, tongue tracing her earlobe as he murmured with a wicked grin, “The soundproofing here is good. Still afraid Jiang Yu will hear you?”
A sudden knock at the door startled them both. Like a frightened rabbit, Xu An’an instinctively burrowed into Jiang Li’s arms.
Jiang Li quickly shrugged off his coat and wrapped it around the small woman in his embrace before lifting his gaze to the doorway. His voice was cold and sharp, his eyes predatory. “What is it?”
At the door, the manager stammered, “Excuse me, is this Second Master Jiang?”
Jiang Li clicked his tongue in annoyance. He hated being interrupted, especially by people trying to curry favor while he was busy. His temper flared. “Get out!”
“S-sorry!” The manager quickly shut the door, wiped the cold sweat from his brow, and nodded to Jiang Yu waiting nearby. “Young Master Jiang, it was indeed Second Master inside.”
Jiang Yu immediately let go of Ning Xiyue’s hand. Disappointment flickered in her eyes. Was that all it took for him to be afraid, even before being caught red-handed?
Jiang Yu said gently, “Yue’er, you head home first. I’ll wait here for my uncle.”
He had already gone so far as to come to the door to express his desire to take part in the West City project—which used to be a simple request. So why had nothing happened yet today? He couldn’t let Grandfather know he was idling his days away.
Ning Xiyue pressed her lips together, lashes lowered in a pitiful way. “But it’s so late already, and I’m a bit scared… You know, ever since that accident…”
As if recalling a nightmare, Ning Xiyue shivered and threw herself into Jiang Yu’s arms, trembling. Jiang Yu’s heart ached for her; he hugged her tightly.
Of course, Jiang Yu knew what accident she meant. If Ning Xiyue hadn’t protected him that time, he might have died—and she had been declared unable to bear children ever again.
Even if he married Xu An’an in the future, the most important place in his heart would always belong to Ning Xiyue.
He coaxed her, “Alright, I’ll take you home. But wait a moment—I need to have a word with my uncle.”
It was hard enough to see Jiang Li on a normal day, and Jiang Yu didn’t want to risk his uncle’s wrath. He wasn’t sure what had happened today—something about a popular starlet being ruined by Jiang Li, which had left investors grumbling but too afraid to challenge him.
Inside the private room, Xu An’an had already gotten up, wrapped in Jiang Li’s coat, and was sitting to one side, finally catching her breath.
She glanced several times toward the door, nerves taut. She had no idea how long Jiang Yu would wait outside.
Jiang Li, on the other hand, seemed perfectly at ease. He lazily pulled out a cigarette and lit it. In the dim light, smoke curling around his devilishly handsome yet cold face, Xu An’an frowned and cursed him silently: what a cool customer.
Of course, he was never the one who had to worry.
She could only rely on herself to escape. Climbing out the window was out of the question—they were on the twenty-second floor, with no balcony. Unless she could scale walls like a martial arts master, she was stuck.
“You’ve soaked my pants,” Jiang Li remarked.
Even knowing what a sharp tongue he had, Xu An’an was still infuriated. Why bring this up now, just to make her more flustered?
Her teeth clenched with anger. “Then lick them clean yourself.”
Jiang Li glanced down, suppressing some unspoken impulse.
After finishing his cigarette, he stood up unhurriedly and walked toward the door, beckoning with a finger. “Come on.”
Xu An’an quickly grabbed his arm, then carefully cracked the door open for a peek—only to see Jiang Yu and Ning Xiyue right outside. She slammed the door shut and locked it again.
“Don’t tell me you expect me to just walk out there like this?”
Jiang Li stepped back and opened his arms. “How else do you propose to leave? Come here.”
Gritting her teeth, Xu An’an climbed onto him, wrapping her arms and legs tightly around Jiang Li and burying her face in his neck, making sure to pull the coat over herself for full coverage.
Jiang Li held her securely, as easily as if carrying a child.
The door opened with a click. Jiang Yu looked up to see Jiang Li carrying a woman in his arms, but paid it little mind, instead launching into talk about the West City project.
“Uncle, let me help out. I need to learn so I can help run the company in the future.”
Jiang Li strolled forward at a leisurely pace, like he was out for a walk. His arms were strong, carrying Xu An’an as if she weighed nothing at all.
Xu An’an, meanwhile, was terrified—especially afraid the coat might slip off and expose her, which would be her utter ruin.
She discreetly pinched Jiang Li, urging him to hurry. Of all times, did he have to tease her now?
Unexpectedly, Jiang Li stopped and turned his head slightly. “Tell me, what can you actually do?”
Jiang Yu opened his mouth but could say nothing convincing; his real intention was simply to show Grandfather he was contributing, though he actually had no skills.
In his panic, his eyes darted everywhere. That was when he noticed a kiss mark on the hand of the woman in Jiang Li’s arms. He couldn’t help but admire his uncle’s vigor!
Wait—wasn’t that bracelet on her wrist familiar?
