Words on Launching the Book

My first attempt at writing was at the end of 2013, and I kept at it for about a year. The results were, to put it mildly, disastrous. However, I was fortunate enough to come into contact with several editors from Qidian, which marked the beginning of an unbreakable bond with online literature.

This time, I have picked up the pen again to write Assassinate the World. The first reason is simple—to earn some money to buy sweets. The second reason is stubborn defiance—I absolutely refuse to accept defeat! I am a tenacious person, so I have never understood why the stories I write cannot reach more brothers, cannot gain wider recognition.

After much reflection, I realized the reason is probably just one: my writing skills are still inadequate, and the story isn’t captivating enough. Therefore, I secluded myself for years, watching hundreds of films and reading hundreds of books to regroup and start anew. Now I am determined to pour my heart and soul into crafting a great book, so that those who choose to trust me can journey together through an exciting, vibrant, and dark world of assassins, indulging alongside the protagonist.

Assassinate the World primarily tells the story of an ordinary man evolving into an assassin. Because of this, the beginning of my book has drawn a lot of criticism from readers, so much so that I’m drenched in it. But please allow me to defend myself: it’s not that the protagonist or I am foolish; it’s simply that the story hasn’t yet reached the stage of thrilling justice and global intrigue.

At present, the book has surpassed 300,000 words. For those who have been following, have you noticed the protagonist’s mindset and attitude beginning to shift? Brothers, please be patient a little longer—the plot you’ve been eagerly waiting for is coming soon.

Lastly, a few words about updates.

My previous book barely crossed 100,000 clicks over the course of a year. Such dismal numbers would have crushed many writers, but I am a stubborn fellow. So I persisted, writing over 3.3 million words until the story was complete. I believe this is the best testament to my integrity. Brothers, don’t worry about this book being abandoned. I have said before that if this book is ever discontinued, then you may as well discontinue me too—with no complaints.

Finally, I must sincerely thank editors Yuanzheng, Biscuit, and Rubber for their guidance and support. The success of Assassinate the World owes much to your discerning eyes. I will not let your expectations down.
