Chapter 85: The Plot Unfolds, Assault (2)
Ordinary students have their own cafeteria, while noble students have private residences where they can cook for themselves, granting them exceptional freedom. To accommodate Rambo and Lekai, Lanska had also assigned them a dedicated nanny and chef, sparing the two from having to show their faces in the public cafeteria.
Watching Rambo and Lekai stride toward their villa with fierce determination, Wu Qingyi’s lips curled into a sinister smile. He sneered, “Little savage, your surprise is coming soon. Let’s see if you can handle it—don’t collapse too quickly.”
Along the way, although they encountered many students, none jumped out to cause trouble as had happened twice before. Most of the students were citizens of the empire, theoretically only a notch above the local natives, so while Lekai’s status as a native drew some surprise, none were foolish enough to provoke him.
They made it almost to the villa’s door without incident. Rambo muttered in frustration, “That Wu Qingyi actually dared to deceive me. I’ll deal with him this afternoon.”
Lekai’s brow furrowed slightly, a glint of coldness flashing in his eyes. “I doubt it’ll be that simple. Didn’t you say the villa was private property, and outsiders aren’t allowed in? How could anyone cause trouble here?”
With his almost preternatural senses, he had already detected something amiss inside the villa. He quickened his pace, and suddenly his expression changed. “That’s the fluctuation of true energy. There’s just been a fight inside, and a powerful martial artist was involved. This is bad—Wu siblings might be in danger.”
Without hesitation, he dashed into the villa, heading straight for the source of the energy disturbance, which turned out to be the living room.
Sure enough, the living room was a scene of utter chaos. Furniture and decorations were brutally smashed to pieces, as if a fierce battle had erupted there. In the corner, a man lay slumped, drenched in blood—it was Wu Niantian.
Lekai was startled and rushed forward. He pulled a small vial from his watch, poured out a few pills, pried open Wu Niantian’s mouth, and fed them to him. Then, placing a palm on the man’s back, he channeled true energy to help the medicine go down.
As the pills took effect, Wu Niantian slowly came to. Seeing Lekai and Rambo, his face twisted in panic as he cried, “Quick, save Xiaomei! Those bastards took her!”
Rambo’s fury erupted. “Who did this? I’ll grind their bones to dust!”
“I don’t know who they were. They were clearly bodyguards for some noble—extremely powerful. We were no match for them. They said as long as a lowly savage sets foot in this school, they’ll never leave us alone. Before they left, they said if we’re not satisfied, we can go find them at Villa 201, Block A.” As Wu Niantian spoke, blood trickled from his lips again; it was clear those men had shown no mercy, leaving him gravely wounded.
“Boss, let’s go save her! These nobles are wolves in human skins—they’ll stoop to anything,” Rambo urged anxiously. He knew all too well the nature of nobles, and hearing that Wu Meitian had been taken, he was frantic.
Lekai stood up slowly, his face dark, a cruel smile playing at his lips. “Since they’re in such a hurry, I’ll grant their wish.” As he strode forward, he asked Rambo, “Are weapons allowed here?”
Rambo nodded. “Any cold weapons are fine, but once you’re carrying one, you can’t refuse a challenge.”
“Will killing a few people be a problem?”
Lekai’s tone was calm, as if he were talking about slaughtering chickens, utterly devoid of emotion. Yet Rambo, who knew him well, understood this meant Lekai was truly angry. The angrier he became, the colder and more composed he was—for when he considered someone prey, he hunted with terrifying caution and calm.
At this moment, Lekai was like a sharpened blade, radiating an unspeakable murderous intent.
Rambo gritted his teeth and replied resolutely, “As long as you don’t kill any nobles, it’s fine!”
Lekai replied icily, “Good. The bodyguards will die; the nobles will be crippled.”
With that, his body twisted slightly, and to Rambo’s shock, he found himself standing twenty meters behind Lekai in the blink of an eye.
Villa 201, Block A.
Anyone living in these villas was a true noble—if not the official’s sons like Rambo and Wu Qingyi, then at least the scions of immense wealth, raised in the lap of luxury with imperial privilege. To them, commoners were little more than slaves, their lives and deaths at the nobles’ whim.
“Hmph! I don’t know where that little savage found such courage to dare kill Young Master Xi Runshi. As his close friend, if I don’t avenge him, how can I face the world? I, Young Master Zhang, don’t believe that brat is capable of miracles. Zhang Hai, Zhang Lang, listen up! If that little savage shows up, break his arms and legs for me, then send him to the Xi family. I’ll have a bite to eat first, then enjoy the beauty. Hahaha!”
Zhang Ba, who appeared dashing and refined, was in truth a wastrel, running amok with Xi Runshi, leaving a trail of ruined girls behind them.
Now, staring at Wu Meitian’s beautiful face and alluring figure, Zhang Ba’s desire burned uncontrollably. The natural charm she radiated from her seductive arts was deadly to any man—just one glance could leave them utterly captivated. But to martial artists, her allure was not enough; the Zhang brothers had already sealed her meridians, preventing her from using her arts to bewitch Zhang Ba.
Leering at the beauty before him, Zhang Ba set down his wineglass beside her. “No matter how angry you are, you can’t change your fate. You’re destined to be mine. Serve me well, and I’ll ensure you live in comfort. But if you’re stubborn, I promise your days ahead will be so ‘exciting’ you’ll wish you were dead. Now let’s enjoy the show, and afterward, I’ll cherish you properly.”
He reached out and pinched Wu Meitian’s delicate cheek, laughing triumphantly.
Tears welled in Wu Meitian’s eyes, but she forced herself not to cry. She knew that in the face of a true predator, tears would only bring the beast more pleasure.
“Young Master, he’s here! And judging by his murderous aura, this woman must be important to him,” Zhang Hai said, his eyes narrowing with a flash of malice.
Zhang Lang replied coolly, “Since he’s here, let’s take out this annoying fly for Young Master, so he can enjoy the beauty at leisure.”
Zhang Ba roared with laughter. “Good! Once I’m finished, you two can have a taste as well.”
Boom!
With a thunderous crash, the iron gates were kicked open. The two heavy doors, each weighing hundreds of anks, were sent hurtling into the hall.
“What speed! What power! Impressive, but if you think that’s enough for revenge, you’re delusional!” Zhang Hai, wild by nature, leaped across the hall in a flash. With two kicks, he sent the flying doors aside and landed lightly on the steps. His body crackled like firecrackers, his arms seeming to grow longer, fingers splayed like iron talons. With a slight squeeze, a deep, resonant boom echoed in the air.
