This sensation was not a special ability awakened by the recent surge of adrenaline, but rather an innate talent Le Kai had possessed since childhood. He had never learned any systematic techniques, nor did he cultivate inner energy, but from a young age, his father had trained him to fight by pure instinct. He firmly believed that human consciousness could deceive itself, and even one's eyes could tell lies, but instincts would never betray a person.

So although Le Kai was still young, he had followed his father on hunts since the age of four. Through those long and brutal hunting trips, he had honed a remarkable ability: with just a glance, he could spot an enemy’s weakness and, almost subconsciously, devise a plan in his mind, calculating the most efficient and effective way to achieve victory.

He never expected, however, that this ability would now be amplified several times over.

Despite his overall strength having increased significantly, wild wolves remained wild wolves—the kind of mutant beasts Le Kai would never have dared challenge before. The battle left him with many injuries; his body was drenched in blood. Fortunately, every one of his calculated maneuvers was precise, always exchanging the smallest price for the greatest gain. By the time the few remaining wolves realized the danger and fled in panic, his strength was utterly spent.

Staring at the ground littered with wolf corpses, Le Kai could hardly believe his eyes. At the same time, the feeling of utter exhaustion overwhelmed him. His legs buckled, darkness clouded his vision, and the world spun as he slipped into unconsciousness.

When he awoke, the aroma of cooked meat filled his nose, and he was immediately ravenous. He scrambled to his feet, tore out the IV in his arm, and staggered to the table, grabbing a wolf’s leg and devouring it hungrily.

“Slow down! You look like a starving ghost reborn. Seven or eight wolves still aren’t enough for you?” the Professor said gruffly, though his eyes were filled with delight.

“Mmm, it’s delicious, teacher! I never knew you could cook so well. This wolf meat doesn’t have the slightest gamey taste. It’s amazing,” Le Kai replied between mouthfuls, finally starting to feel better.

“How do you feel? Any discomfort?” the Professor asked with genuine concern. In truth, the instruments had already told him that apart from the external injuries covering the boy’s body, he was otherwise unharmed. His meridians had been forcefully expanded, yet there were no ruptures or damage—a miracle indeed. The boy’s constitution was truly extraordinary.

Of course, there was a reason for such strength. Le Kai’s robust body was thanks to a rare fruit he had eaten as a child. This was no myth; such earthly treasures existed on many planets, though the chances of an ordinary person obtaining one were slim. The Professor had no idea how Le Kai had stumbled upon such fortune; he only knew that his original plan had not involved coming all the way to this barren planet to take a wild child as a student.

His real target had been that very treasure, but unfortunately, it had become Le Kai’s food when he was just two years old.

“Thank you, teacher, I’m fine—just a bit drained,” Le Kai answered.

“That’s normal. After all, berserk transformation is no easy matter. Many people can’t get out of bed for half a year after their first time. You were only unconscious for three days—that’s impressive,” the Professor said. “You’re a lucky kid!”

Le Kai looked puzzled. “Teacher, what is berserk transformation?”

“Berserk transformation is a power of the bloodline. It’s like how you become stronger when you’re excited, but much more profound—a skill that unleashes all your potential in a single burst during a specific time. This star system belongs to the Warwolf Empire. The legendary figure of their empire, the Blood Wolf Emperor, dominated the universe with this very skill and founded the vast empire. Legend has it that the Blood Wolf Emperor mastered a secret manual called the ‘God of War’s Berserk Technique.’ In its perfected state, it could amplify one’s strength by eightfold—truly unrivaled.”

Tales of figures like the Blood Wolf Emperor were stories the Professor often shared with Le Kai, though Le Kai had always thought of them as mere legends. He never imagined such a person could have existed—a single individual founding an interstellar empire! Le Kai had no concept of how vast a star system was; he only knew he hadn’t even crossed half of Sector B. Just how big could a planet be? And how much greater, then, a star system composed of countless planets? The scale was beyond his imagination.

The Professor gave Le Kai a complex look. “You really are fortunate. You’ve awakened a hidden ability that even royal family members may never achieve. But listen carefully: before you’re strong enough, never expose this gift in front of others, or you’ll bring endless trouble upon yourself. Do you understand?”

Le Kai nodded, only half comprehending, then eagerly asked, “Teacher, aren’t you all-knowing? Show me the ‘God of War’s Berserk Technique’!”

The Professor nearly tripped, his face darkening. “Do you really think I’m a deity? The Blood Wolf Emperor lived tens of thousands of years ago—how could I possibly have his manual? Even if such a thing existed, the royal family would guard it as a priceless treasure. Ordinary people would never lay eyes on it. Still, if you ever get the chance, you should seek it out. Having the potential for berserk transformation doesn’t mean you can truly master it. Only the ‘God of War’s Berserk Technique’ can allow you to unleash your full potential.”

Le Kai murmured his disappointment but did not dwell on it. To him, such things were far too distant for even dreams to touch. Yet in his heart, he firmly memorized the name “God of War’s Berserk Technique.”

“Your combat instincts are extraordinary. Ordinary training is no longer effective for you. From tomorrow on, we’ll change the way you train—everything will focus on real combat,” the Professor said, finally admitting to himself that this boy was a born combat genius. His fighting instincts were terrifyingly strong—unbelievable, really. Of course, the Professor could not know that Le Kai had always had this uncanny ability.

And Le Kai took it for granted as a natural instinct.

From the next day, Le Kai’s training became much simpler. Besides eating, sleeping, and attending lessons, he added another task: meditation. Thus began half a year of arduous practice.

Le Kai’s meridians had been repeatedly connected by electrical currents. His method was straightforward: he meditated and trained along the pathways opened by the currents. The electricity had merely carved out channels, like digging a riverbed, but did not bring the flow itself. Through meditation, however, he could draw the ambient free energy from the air, gathering it within himself until he formed his own “current.”

The Professor pioneered a new way to cultivate inner strength—using technology and electric current to carve the complete network of meridian pathways directly within the body, bypassing all the convoluted rituals of traditional training and getting straight to the point, enabling perfect control from the start.
