Chapter 111: A Grudge Repayed
Although the Six Yang Finger Technique appears to be a simple hand method, it contains profound and subtle variations that change according to the individual’s condition, making it endlessly adaptable. It is precisely this infinite variability that renders the Six Yang Finger Technique so deep and difficult to comprehend, far beyond the grasp of ordinary practitioners.
Throughout history, many have studied the Six Yang Divine Finger, and quite a few have merely scratched the surface, but those who can wield it with true mastery are as rare as phoenix feathers and unicorn horns.
Sun Yibin, an elite special forces operative, had once studied traditional Chinese medical treatments during his military medical training, including an introduction to the Six Yang Finger Technique. However, he was uncertain about the method Ling Tian employed, since Ling Tian did not use silver needles and moved with incredible speed.
The movements appeared similar but carried significant differences, which left Sun Yibin only able to guess.
“Your injuries will heal completely within one double-hour,” Ling Tian said calmly. After speaking, he lifted a cup of strong liquor and sipped it slowly, as if the task he had just completed was trivial, and now drinking was his true business.
Sun Yibin gulped down a hearty mouthful of the strong liquor to steady his nerves before asking, “Young Master Ling, is that all there is to it?”
Ling Tian nodded lightly, saying, “Yes, the treatment is complete.”
That was incredibly fast—could it be any quicker?
Sun Yibin was at a loss for words, but judging by Ling Tian’s demeanor, this was no joke.
Just as Sun Yibin was about to inquire further, a tingling sensation began to grow in his injured right leg—the seven points Ling Tian had pressed started to respond, first with numbness, then sharp, prickling pain, growing stronger in waves like the tide, fiercely sweeping through his nerves. Far from fear, Sun Yibin was almost excited enough to stand.
Because of the aftereffects of his severe injury, Sun Yibin’s right leg had lost almost all sensation. Though his walking appeared normal, in truth, it was a crippled limb.
Now, this intense sensation was clear evidence that Ling Tian’s seemingly effortless treatment had taken effect.
Suddenly, a terrifying thought flashed through Sun Yibin’s mind—could his earlier guess be correct? Had Ling Tian truly performed the Six Yang Divine Finger? The sensations were exactly as described in the classical texts.
The seven points Ling Tian had touched were generating strong feelings that continuously shifted, tracing a path like the Big Dipper moving across the night sky. Historically, the Big Dipper revolves counterclockwise around the North Star; now, the seven responsive points on his leg were rotating counterclockwise around the center of the chronic ailment.
Swallowing nervously, Sun Yibin cautiously asked, “Young Master Ling, could it be that you used the Six Yang Divine Finger?”
Ling Tian set down his cup and smiled. “I didn’t expect you to have such insight as to know the Six Yang Technique. You’re right—I did indeed use the Six Yang Divine Finger just now.”
“I have a naïve question. I’ve always seen others use silver needles during treatment. Why didn’t you use any?” Sun Yibin asked with curiosity.
Ling Tian smiled faintly and said, “I simply used qi as the needle. Nothing to make a fuss about.”
To use qi as a needle—this simple phrase revealed Ling Tian’s formidable power. Only by projecting one’s true energy externally can this be achieved, a feat said to be possible only for legendary ancient martial artists. Could it be that Ling Tian came from an ancient martial arts sect, or even an old martial family?
Whatever the case, Ling Tian’s strength far exceeded Sun Yibin’s imagination.
“Your injury was severe and untreated for too long, causing meridian blockage. I’ve just cleared those channels, so there’s no major issue now. In fact, you’ll benefit from this misfortune, as your cultivation will advance a level,” Ling Tian said calmly. According to his estimation, Sun Yibin’s cultivation was nearing the early Qi Refining stage, but surpassing that threshold to become a true martial artist would still take some time.
Sun Yibin rose excitedly and bowed deeply to Ling Tian in gratitude. It was because of his crippled leg that he had chosen to retire at a promising point in his career. Now, not only was the injury healed, but by a stroke of fortune, his stagnant cultivation was slowly progressing.
Ling Tian waved off the thanks. “We’re family here—no need for formalities. Now, let’s drink.”
Unable to contain his excitement, Sun Yibin raised his cup and drank three rounds with Ling Tian.
“You’re not going to rest?” Sun Yibin asked.
“No need,” Ling Tian smiled. Cultivators only require half an hour of meditation daily, which is equivalent to eight hours of normal sleep. Besides, Ling Tian needed to monitor Sun Yibin’s recovery. He estimated the injury would fully heal in another double-hour, but to be safe, he chose to wait.
The two clinked their glasses, drinking deeply and eating heartily, thoroughly enjoying themselves.
At seven in the morning, Ling Tian awoke from meditation to find Sun Yibin absent from the private room.
Soon, Sun Yibin burst in, eyes bright and breathless with excitement. “Young Master Ling, my injury is completely healed, and my cultivation has improved significantly.”
Ling Tian smiled gently. So this young man had been too excited to sleep and had gone out early to train.
“That was expected. Let’s go upstairs to check—Zhao Ming should be done by now,” Ling Tian said, rising toward the door.
Sun Yibin eagerly followed behind, still elated from his recovery and restless through the night.
They arrived at Zhao Ming’s room, where three young women stood guard in shifts—one leaned against the door while the other two, now awake, stood nearby. Their faces flushed with shyness and loveliness, clearly showing that Zhao Ming and Xiao Fang had spent the night together.
“This is none of your business. You all can go rest now,” Ling Tian said with a smile, dismissing the women.
Curious, Ling Tian pressed his ear to the door without opening his spiritual senses, and with his keen hearing, he clearly detected the sounds of lovers’ intimacy inside.
Sun Yibin leaned in as well, listening for a moment.
“Young Master Ling, your insight is uncanny. Zhao Ming still hasn’t stopped,” Sun Yibin laughed, mentally noting: a virgin’s stamina is incredible—going on intermittently all night and still bursting with energy. He wondered if Xiao Fang could really handle it.
Ling Tian listened a while longer, then knocked and said, “Time to get up. We have business to attend to.”
The room erupted in chaos at Ling Tian’s summons. After a while, Zhao Ming and Xiao Fang appeared, their eyes dark-ringed from the late night but spirits high, faces flushed with happiness.
However, Xiao Fang’s gait was unsteady and slow, requiring Zhao Ming’s support. Clearly, Zhao Ming had pushed her limits.
“You’re a ruthless flower breaker, look at how you’ve worn out Xiao Fang. Xiao Fang, go back and rest a while. I need to borrow your man for a bit,” Ling Tian teased.
Embarrassed, shy from her first intimate experience, Xiao Fang lowered her head and hurried back inside.
Ling Tian patted Zhao Ming on the shoulder. “I’ve always wondered how you got so lucky—not only winning a beauty’s heart but, by accident, becoming a millionaire.”
Zhao Ming scratched his head, puzzled. “I’ll admit to winning the beauty, but when did I become a millionaire?”
Sun Yibin walked over and explained, “Here’s the deal: I lost a bet to Young Master Ling yesterday, so I owe you two million in cash. So while you were busy with Xiao Fang, you were technically already a millionaire.”
Zhao Ming was even more confused. What kind of bet was that? Two million was a hefty wager.
Sun Yibin continued, “I bet that you wouldn’t touch Xiao Fang today. Young Master Ling said you were a silent romantic who’d not only touch her but keep at it all night. Turns out, I lost. Honestly, I respect you—you must have enjoyed ending your virginity, right?”
“Damn, you guys were eavesdropping?” Zhao Ming’s face flushed red with embarrassment, wishing for a hole to hide in. He’d never face anyone again.
“Enough nonsense. Zhao Ming, starting today, you’ll stay here and learn to run the business from Sun Yibin. Now, let’s go find your unscrupulous boss. Sun Yibin, arrange for a car—we’re leaving immediately,” Ling Tian said calmly.
Hearing this, Zhao Ming hurriedly protested, “Ling Tian, you want me to stay here? I know nothing about business.”
Ling Tian smiled. “No one is born a business expert. I’m not afraid you can’t learn, only afraid you won’t try. With my support, what do you have to fear?”
“Alright, since you believe in me so much, I’ll make sure to succeed,” Zhao Ming said resolutely. At this moment, he didn’t know how to thank Ling Tian enough. Ling Tian had not only freed him from the threat of the scar-faced gangsters but had completely changed his fate.
The only way Zhao Ming knew to repay Ling Tian was to work hard and achieve results.
“Don’t worry. From what I know of you, what you lack now isn’t ability but confidence,” Ling Tian said.
Zhao Ming nodded. “I’ll do my best.”
The two chatted as they walked. By the time they reached the bar entrance, Sun Yibin had arranged the car.
Sitting in the back seat, Zhao Ming suddenly said, “I’ve waited long enough. Today, I’m going to teach that despicable boss a lesson.”
Ling Tian smiled. “Today, I’ve got your back. Revenge your grievances. In this world, only the strong have the right to command everything. Your boss used to be powerful, able to torment you at will and decide your fate. But now, things are different. He’ll have to pay the price for his past deeds.”
